  3. im trying to run a dedicated server for ut99 and so i opened some ports on the speedtouch modem and in ipcop 1.4.16 and there server displays in the list (has "stuff" in the title if you want to check if it is there)but you dont get any info like on a normal server, so i think i need to enable ping responses but im not sure how to do that. (Software Release: 4.2.7.16.0)
  4. i read about that some where you need to edit some stuff in a hexeditor but i dont remember the site i saw it on
  5. wheres the water option, i only drink tap water
  6. oops, i forgot that but its true not many people would admit getting it
  7. ubuntu wouldnt run to well on 233mhz if you want a gui, ubuntu 5.04 is slugish on 350mhz. support is not an issue if you read teh stuff on this thread your not going to try nt4, oooh
  8. this pretty much wont happen (at least for a very long time) because websites dont care what os your using most of the time (sometimes websites are evil), you just wont get or the slow "latest and greatest pretty stuff" i could still run the internet on 3.1 sure ie5 wasnt very good, but you could run lynx and just read stuff the other stuff the os wont be able to do but connecting to the internet isnt particularly difficult since all you need is a network card
  9. And just for fun i posted all the release dates, which should be right if wikipedia is. I only copied the OS's that were cared about, since i dont think 1.xx and 2.xx were very popular 3.0 : May 22, 1990 3.1x : March 18, 1992 NT3.1 : July 27, 1993 NT3.5 : September 21, 1994 NT3.51 : May 30, 1995 95 : August 24, 1995 NT4 : July 29, 1996 98 : June 25, 1998 98SE : May 5, 1999 2000 : February 17, 2000 ME : September 14, 2000 XP : October 25, 2001 2003 : April 24, 2003 Vista : November 8, 2006

  11. so i wanted to create a dll in vb6 (is this even real dll?) anyway i wanted to create a dll to load an app when you try to run it it gives you an option to load an app which what i tried but when i register the dll nothing happens the app doesnt load. is there something im missing or cant i do this is vb6 (im not user vb.net because i think it is evil and i like compatibility)
  12. I definiatly agree with this, its more convienient then logging on for each user and much better then fast user switching which just sucks up all the momory from what ive seen, also if you need to shutdown you down know what the other users are doing which is annoying. single user is much easier, multiuser is ok but fast user switching is not in my opionin, afterall your still entitled to yours. Ever heard of Poledit, it can restrict users quite nicely on a domain, havent tried it outside a domain dont think that would work but poledit can make you have multiple users with different rights quite nicely
  13. Happy Birthday!!
