  1. I think Siginet was joking with his particular nibbles example But your explanation of nibbles is right on the money.
  2. http://www.speedguide.net/ to the rescue! Their analyzer and optimizer should work for you.

    HFSLIP.org upgrade

Argh! Server will be unreachable for the next few hours due to an IP change. Sorry about all this trouble, folks. tain -> <- HFSLIP users
  4. You mean just the one app's bar is off-screen? On the taskbar, right-click that task's tab and select "move" and then use the down arrow key to move that window down.

    HFSLIP.org upgrade

Thanks for the notification. Should be up now, but problems are still being ironed out. Please continue to notify us if it is down.
  7. The program I linked to earlier, AVIList, works well except that it is limited to AVI files (no surprise there). I'm still looking for software that will do this for all video types. Or at least one that will process the various types of mpeg. Any ideas?

*sigh* Okay, things seem to be working now. Some PHP work remains but nothing critical. Please let me know if you have any more trouble. And by the way...have you noticed how awesome the new web page looks? Tomcat76 did a great job on it!
  9. I wonder why this project doesn't get more attention. It seems perfect for the MSFN community.

Thanks for the notification. There are some issues with the upgrade. Working on it...
  11. You could use Hamachi for the tunnel and Ultr@VNC for the remote desktop. [ fixed topic title ]

    I'm New

Welcome to MSFN We actually have a subforum setup for introductions. I'll move your post over there. [ moved ]
  16. Try something like Diver Magician or Driver Manager.
  17. That link goes to this subforum. Sounds like you are asking a programming question, so I'll move your topic over there. Good luck! [ moved ]
  18. Your solution will be fine as long as you keep that new DHCP server on the new subnet. That is the reason they are coexisting. But this is a patch, of course. I recommend you start talking to your network admins and business managers. Sounds like your organization is due to upgrade the networking gear and expand your addressing scheme. This will involve money and some down time.
  19. We have a similar setup but not that problem. Could be because our KVMs meet certain standards. Many KVMs, especially on the cheaper side, have some side-effects like this when switching between machines because of how the hardware/connection is emulated in the KVM. Have you checked the Citrix server for a setting to control this behavior? (ICA is client-side, right?) I think that is the only place you will fix this problem without buying new hardware. Like this.
  20. Your avatar was fine yesterday (after Martin fixed it), but is gone today. Did you change something in your profile?
  21. No. And I think your reasoning is accurate

TC gets all the credit for that. He does the pages. And yeah, he does a great job ROT: If you can see it, TC did it. If you can't, then I did it.
  23. The cards are mostly pro football with some other sports mixed in. Nearly all are from 1990-1995. The comics are mostly older than that. Perhaps 1985-1990. Thanks for your help!
  24. I only went there when they had free media after rebate They did have some aggressive sales if you didn't mind dealing with rebates. I hear Fry's is the best alternative to CompUSA but I've never been to one.
  25. I collected various comic books and sports cards when I was younger. Now I have a couple of boxes of these collectibles but I don't know what they might be worth, if anything. What is the best way to sell a collection of unorganized collectibles when you don't know if any of it is valuable? I'm too lazy to go through it all and determine if anything is valuable. I just want an easy way to get rid of it all and perhaps get some cash for it. My ideas so far: 1. Take it all to an eBay consignment store. They go through all your stuff for you and auction it all off for a fee. 2. Take it all to a comic book store and ask them to buy it. Both of the above methods are highly susceptible to dishonest businessmen. The eBay option seems better to me since the business has an interest is getting you a high price for your stuff since they get a commission. That should work well as long as they don't just steal the good stuff What other options are there?
