In the Options dialog you'll find the "Mail Format" tab which has some formatting and encoding settings. That is likely the only dialog that could help you, and I don't think it will work since those settings don't directly affect attachments. What if you zip your attachments?

The difference is just the bus. The drives themselves are otherwise the same. I don't think there are any burners that burn a disc fast enough to saturate either bus. Better cooling? Not sure how that could be.

You assume it's the same software in both, when in fact it isn't - the 360 isn't even intel-based. I don't think he was making a direct comparison like that. More of an example of the concept.X360 would be nice but I don't intend to buy/run an MCE machine to support it. Though I do recall seeing something about people playing content from HDDs through their X360 somehow. Not sure that is a hack of some sort. One great thing about XBMC is that it has very flexible streaming options that don't require an MCE.
