  1. The Software forum seems to handle this fine so far, IMHO.
  2. http://www.hdtune.com/ is good for the drive. I like http://www.samurize.com/ for WMI-based metering.
  3. Via ICS? Then you are already doing what you want. Here is the KB for XP ICS: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314066
  4. If you are Jewish, then you may know what GADI means without checking the link.
  5. The best media for me is whatever actually *works* on the target device Where did you get this analysis?
  6. I haven't messed around with Ubuntu much in quite a while. I'll take this opportunity to try out Xubuntu.
  7. Yahoo doesn't have IMAP (yet?) and doesn't provide a native mail import utility.
  8. This article says that WinAMP has a new tagging utility. Does anyone know if it is capbable of the tagging I need?
  9. Really? From the site: A bit confusing. And the demo video is only so helpful.
  10. I can't find a good post to quote TC, but I don't believe there are currently plans for any 64-bit support.

    xp and hfslip

One of the main reasons I still use 2K is because tommyp's HFCLEANUP reducers aren't designed for XP. This may impact your decision as well.
  12. Note my stated interest in pausing and error recovery Queue management and speed throttling are also handy. Speed is good, too, but I have no problem with queueing up a bunch of transfers and letting them run all night if needed.
  13. I've tried many brands and haven't had any experiences that were much better or worse than the others. The only real difference is the initial setup for the encryption key since they all have their own setup procedure. Other than that, all of the hardware has performed similarly for me.
  14. I think you are stuck. You are right that you can mail them back to Yahoo. And there are ways to automate that process. But Yahoo will perceive those as new mails and stamp them accordingly. They do have import/export for address book data, but not for mail.
  15. I'm glad to see that we've compiled so many options. I'll have to sit down one weekend and evaluate these other applications to see which one I like the best. The one with the speed throttling feature interests me.
  16. Does anyone else have experience with this one? Do you have any comments (pros/cons) on it, Fredledingue?
  17. We'll get some clarification for you. Do you need to change your email address? If so, please PM the correct address to me. It might take a while to get it changed, though.
  18. Great post, jaclaz! I'm geeky enough to try that stuff, but just don't have the time these days. I'd rather pay for a convenient solution
  19. Agreed. The Canon PowerShot digicams are built really well and are great "point and click" cams. I've owned several.
  20. So you want to run a local server for development and testing? Try XAMPP.
  21. I don't participate in any of this stuff but maybe you'll still accept my opinion on the graphics. puntoMX's are good, but I like this one because it follows the MSFN theme:
  22. Neat idea! I'd provide feedback on it, but HFSLIP does *everything* I want it to do so I don't need this particular function. Thanks, though!
