  1. your HDD is busy all the time. This is the bottleneck. Remove as much tools from startup you can or replace the Hitachi HDS721010KLA330 with a SSD.
  2. you also have the sdclt.exe bug.
  3. I ave no experience with such Nano Adapters. I don't know how good they are.
  4. vista was awesome and had a great UX, not like WIn8 which is ugly as hell and is horrible slow and ineffective to use. I was using the Vista as my main Os since Build 5456 and was fantastic compared to the crappy XP. And Win7 = Vista R2 (Vista Sp3 + new UI Theme and marketing Hype)
  5. this is a hang, WER doesn't create such dumps. Use ProcDump or ProcessExplorer to generate dumps of the hanging Explorer.
  6. I use ProcessHacker (http://processhacker.sourceforge.net/) to remotely hibernate/shutdown PCs when I'm connected via RemoteDesktop.
  7. Firefox has Webtools which analyzes Speed of loading of web pages.
  8. generate a crash dump: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ghwoscdk8lbxxu/WER_SearchIndexer_full.reg zip and upload the dumps. After you've generated the dumps use this reg file to stop the AppVerifier and dump creation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7gw5dhg6z2cw8l5/WER_SearchIndexer_full_uninstall.reg
  9. this sucks on a Tablet Please try to get the UI working.
  10. this trace is fine. CPU is idle for 99%. Capture the trace when you have the issue.
  11. manually select the new driver and don't let Windows search for the drivers.
  12. the trace is corrupted. Don't run other tools like ProcessExplorer, TaskManager, LatencyMon or Resource Monitor the same time.
  13. I still don't see the bitlocker entries with the newest version.
  14. the trace shows that the DPC values are still ok, but you have some high CPU usage in the Bing Weather and Mail app. The USBport usage seams to come from the rtl8187B.sys (USB WIFI) driver which is relaetd to the App activity. They seam to retrieve data which causes USB activity. So look for a driver update.
  15. as already written, error 5 means wrong permissions. Make sure you have write permissions to the file.
  16. DiagEasy doesn't capture all data that I need. Use the command that I posted here in the DPC guide.
  17. Run this tool: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.199
  18. yes, I miss it and often listen to a German Web Radio which plays this music
  19. Download the 1.5.2 setup ad install it. http://startisback.com/#download-tab
  20. this is the Version for Win8, for Win8.1 use StartIsBack+: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/163489-startisback-152/
  21. don't run LatencyMon at the same time.
  22. capture a xperf trace (use the 8.1 WPT!) and upload the zipped ETL file
  23. I no longer get notifications via email.
  24. the HDD is still the bottleneck. It is busy all the time. Reduce the number of started tools/services or buy a SSD.
