  1. I doubt this. MS treats Win7 as old an outdated system. You can only use the 32Bit CMD workaround. Here the memory usage is limited to 2GB RAM (32Bit limitation).
  2. try if this generates dumps: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb787181%28VS.85%29.aspx If you have dumps, zip and upload them.
  3. provide pictures of the performance->memory tab of taskmgr.
  4. get the update from the Update catalog (use the IE to download it): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323166/en-us
  5. final is the same like RTM The Windows 8.1 preview is version 6.3.9431. Maybe you have this version.
  6. Windows fails to find the data from C:\Windows\Prefetch
  7. is the boot now faster? Or do you still see the autochk in the trace? Here you go. I accidentally chopped a bit off the right-side when taking the photo but I think it's not important. Which AV suite do you use? This user fixed it by removing AV suite: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/error-autochk-cannot-run-due-to-an-error-caused-by/d2bb2658-0281-4b94-8028-bf725204a998
  8. do you have any information about this TCP/IP service error and why it happens?
  9. it was Sinofsky, Mister arrogance and idiocy. So what have you expected? His arrogance and idiocy lead to the Win8 crap.
  10. this doesn't work. I still get the TCP Error which blocks the tablet and the touch tool doesn't start.
  11. @AndreiLis it is still the same. Try to install the Enterprise Hotfix Rollup. @doveman can you capture a picture of the message?
  12. reduce the amount of started tool to reduce disk IO or buy a SSD.
  13. yes, open the 32Bit CMD.exe and run chkdsk here. All users run into this EXCEPT Microsoft: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/e7/archive/2009/08/10/what-we-do-with-a-bug-report.aspx
  14. on the picture I can see that the Disk is busy all the time. So it looks like the disk is the bottleneck.
  15. the shutdown of skype is a bit long (10s): <shutdownProcess name="Skype.exe" shutdownStartTime="220" shutdownEndTime="10791" processEndTime="10776" shutdownDuration="10571" shutdownLevel="4" shutdownFlags="74243" /> LogMeIn seems to hang: - <unresponsiveServices numUnresponsiveServices="1"> <unresponsiveService name="LogMeIn" /> </unresponsiveServices>the rest seams to be ok.
  16. open the CMD explicitly. Go to startmenu, type cmd, do a rightclick on the CMD.exe ,listed in the search, and select "Run as admin". Now run chkdsk from here. ok, got an answer. You also have NTFS issues. Also run chkdsk to check your HDD and later defrag the HDD if it is fine.
  17. this is a known issue, but MSFT refuses to create a fix, they said not enough users complained about it.
  18. @AndreiLis I've asked someone from Microsoft to take a look at the trace. @foxhound2001 Yes, autochk.exe is causing the delay. Is your SSD fine? Run chkdsk C: /r /f to check this.
  19. the tool is only useful to debug performance issues, not issues in why it doesn't sleep, shutdown or hibernate.
  20. how should I test this? I can't use the tablet when I boot the PE. Can you make a config which I can use in the builder?
  21. Win8.1 will get a larger Update later this year. http://www.neowin.net/news/windows-81-spring-update-screenshots-leak-ie11-gets-a-small-update Let us see what it fixes.
  22. yes, ProcessHacker is great. I no longer use ProcexxExplorer and only my self compiled and modified ProcessHacker
  23. new SSD can handle so many writes, that you should not try to damage it by disabling functions which break your Windows.
