  1. you have to enter your OEM Key and put the OEM KEy certificate inside the DVD to have a self activating OEM Vista
  2. are you using a original clean MS DVD or a Recovery DVD from a OEM?
  3. no, Win7 will be build up on top of the Vista Sp1 kernel. Vista s the right way and MS continues this way with Win7
  4. ok, so we have to wait for nuhi. So far i don't know the cause
  5. the fileversions are from Nov 2007 and some information for the SP1 Servicing Stack are missing inside the pkgProperties.txt.
  6. Could you also try vLite 1.2, please?
  7. ok, could you please try to copy the files yourself? Just select all files and folders from the DVD and copy all files with the explorer to your working folder.
  8. Could you please check your RAM with a MemTest86+?
  9. no, you don't need use a x64 Vista. Hmm the only time I saw this Exception on a x64 Windows. But nuhi is also using a x64 Vista. What is your Temp-folder and where are you trying to copy the files (which folder)?
  10. this is the Beta Version of the feature Pack from connect with can only be installed on a Vista Sp1 RC
  11. Are you running a 64Bit Vista?
  12. download the old 1.1.6 Version and copy the wim driver and DLL to your vLite 1.2 install folder!
  13. you have to create a new DVD and keep those 2 components and then you have to reinstall your Vista with the new DVD
  14. sorry this is not possible. The OEMs create their own images after customizing the Vista editions in Audit Mode. Get a clean MS DVD and retry it with the clean source.
  15. You have a Recovery Disc from Acer which is not supported by vLite. You must use a clean original Disc!
  16. try it again and keep "Network and Sharing Center", "Network List Service" and "Network Location Awareness (NLA)"
  17. perhaps. try it with a new version and leave those 2 components inside.
  18. so please provide the INI so that we can see what you have removed
  19. both tools need the .net framework so it's clear that those tools do not work after you removed the .net framework
  20. Documents and Settings is a symbolic link to C:\Users and you should not try to remove it
  21. you can also use a Software that creates a virtual DVD drive and mount the ISO with one of this tools
  22. sorry you can't use a recovery disc as an source. You should get a untouched Vista DVD from MS
  23. this mean, that the WIM filter driver is damaged. Run vLite with -unwim parameter to completely remove the driver and now restart vLite and let vLite reinstall the driver
  24. let vLite do the copying. Start vLite and select your DVD drive as source. Now select a new folder on your hdd and now vLite copies the DVD to your hdd and you can select the Vista version you want to edit.
  25. no, vLite only updates the install.wim. You can get the Sp1 boot.wim from the WAIK. Yust copy the winpe.wim to your sources folder and rename it to boot.wim
