  1. this is Superfetch. It load a lot of files into the RAM so that you can start programs much faster. Try to disable Superfetch temporary and restart your PC to test if it starts faster.
  2. if IIS7 is important and you also need the Media center you have to use the Ultimate Edition which includes both
  3. business edition offers tools for companies (like IIS7) and for a home user the Home premium is fine
  4. take a look into the event log under "Application and service protocols"->Microsoft->Windows-> DiagnosticsPerformance you can filter for log messages about slow startup and shut down causes.

  7. nuhi changed some parts of the removing routine, because all older version have a bug, that I you intergrate Fixes to your Version and use the add/remove feature inside your online Vista, the files are roll backed to the original Sp1 RTM file versions. This would explain why Final fails. if you want Add/remove feature you should stay at 1.1.6 RC

  10. this is a VirtualPC issue. Don't worry when you install it on a physical machine.
  11. what's your temp folder name? I think the name is too long. change it to a short name like C:\temp
  12. after applying a new Hotfix from MS the cracked tcpip driver doesn't work any longer
  13. try it without the HyperV and RAT Updates

  15. than it's the LP Code 2 Fix, this fix is for Vista RTM and not for Vista Sp1
  16. if you have used the sfx archive to install vLite you only have to remove the vLite folder.
  17. are you using a Sp1 integrated Source or RTM?

  21. Retail and OEM versions should be able to install without key, but on a vlk version you must enter a key
  22. this feature already exists. copy the ini to the present folder and load them at the start of vLite
  23. you have to integrate the Remote Administration Tools as well
  24. you've used GImageX to capture the wim. GImageX produces corrupted WIMs, so you must use the cmd based ImageX to capture the WIM.
  25. type Winver.exe into run and take a look at the Buildnumber: 6000 is Vista RTM, 6001 is Vista Sp1
