  1. TuneUp 2008 Beta caused this issue. The version expired this weekend and failed to start Vista correctly. You have to set the BIOS date somedays back and uninstall the Beta.
  2. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946532/en-us is a known issue from MS which should be fixed with SP1. But I have installed Sp1 from an integrated DVD.
  3. I turned my Vista off yesterday evening and today I turned my Notebbok on and now my Vista doesn't start any longer. The Bootscreen with the progressbar is shown correctly and now the Welcome page should follow, but only a black scrren with my mouse pointer is shown. I didn't install any updates or modified something. On 2 German boards several people have exactly the same issue. Does anyone here have also this issue and knows how to fix this without reinstalling?

  7. extract the Office Sp1 and place the msp files into the Update folder on your Office CD. Now the Sp1 is installed while you install Office
  8. for me the hashes of the ISOs are different but all files inside are the same so what's the difference?

  13. You removed the Volume Shadow Copy Feature with vLite, thats wgat the error message says. You must create a new DVD and keep it.
  14. use the one which matches your edition. There are Keys for all editions. Those keys are the 30 days trial keys

  19. with or without integrating SP1 first? thanks. I'm using a SP1 integrated ISO from MS.
  20. I've replaced the DLLs everytime inside the WIm and this works perfect
