1. My turn. Here's my list: Tag&Rename VLC Media Player OpenOffice O&O Defrag nLite UltraISO Firefox Free Download Manager Easy CD-DA Extractor Adobe Photoshop CS2 Ace Utilities FrostWire Recover My Files WinRAR Ashampoo Burning Studio 7-Zip Inno Setup AutoIt MP3Gain ratDVD
2. No. The only commandline switches there are for foobar2000 is /S. The author is too lazy to implement anymore or at least disable the association from popping up while in silent installation mode.
3. Good job at keeping this current especially for newbies although I talked about this in the long and drawn out Symantec Antivirus thread.
4. Easy CD-DA Extractor uses armadillo protection which encypts any reg key you input which means there isn't a way to use the registry to input a key. Best bet is to use a autoit script. Check the autoit script thread. I think there is a easy cd-da extractor script made for registering it.
5. Prassi ONES, Padus DiscJuggler & Alcohol.
6. Note that Installshield and Wise are expensive but you can evaluate a trial. Orca found in the Windows Toolkit is free but not very user-friendly...
7. File for Prassi ONES 2.0.300 Shareware Script v1.1 [link] Note Script for IHMO, the best cd/dvd burning app out there. Should work for future versions.
8. First all you have the wrong switches for kav. KAV uses the NSIS switches for silent installation which is /S. OTher than that it should work. Try changing the switches.
9. Right Alanoll. I am currently using your MSI and making a 7-zip sfx for plugins, etc. that I use with winamp. I might even make an inno setup with winamp and plugins I want in order to simplify having two exes.. I'm kindy lazy right now though...
10. No problem. Glad to point you in the right direction...
11. You need to use an autoit script. Look in the autoit script thread. My foobar2000 script is there.
12. Use Search!!! This has been discussed already...
13. This happened to me with 9 and with 10 which I currently have installed. It's not symantec, its the stupid microsoft security center. Not saying symantec antivirus isn't without its bugs . Security Center also causes a delay on startup.
14. Is this true? Anyone else have this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doesn't happen with me. Hmm wonder why you guys are getting this...
15. Hi vcBlackBox, I love your script and everything works fine except my serial numbers are not importing into the registry. The only one that does in my ultra edition serial... Any suggestions for fixing this... Thanks for your efforts. Oops nevermind... I forgot these were commented out...
16. type wise.exe /?. That should give you the switches..
17. make sure your sfx is extracting your msi in the directory u mentioned.
18. Actually I think it would be fine since you need the other files in order to install it. I've posted Symantec Antivirus modified msi(s) before so go ahead and give us link please....
19. Oh ok. That's fine you just confused me for a sec. I would say use RegShot instead of RegSnap because RegShot is small and easier to use.
20. Word on the street is that DVD-Rs have a longer life than DVD-RWs. I dont know whether that is true or not but I wanna be on the safe side. Plus they are pretty cheap nowdays. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gotcha, I understand..
21. I'm confused on what you are asking... Could u try to explain so I or someone else could help you...
22. Thats the point of this forums, right? If you dont have anything useful to say then dont post... Personally I want to have all my software to install automatically. After six months I might update the software, create a new DVD and discard the old one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why don't you use a rewritable dvd or cds? Just wondering out of curious..
