  1. Personally I try to avoid installers if possible, but again less experienced users may need them for assure and/or user-friendlyness. I used to be that way awhile ago...
  2. Not to down ya kelsenellenelvian, but I don't really see the point of creating installers for programs that don't have to be installed. It adds more clutter to the registry. I guess its good for newbies IMHO. Oh well good luck with this although I think this is unnecessary. I would rather see you make installers or repackage apps that can't be silently installed without using a script but I guess I will have to start doing this...
  3. When you enter your registration code and username, it stores this in a file called settings.ini in the app directory.
  4. makeit.cmd says it can't find winrar... don't know why.
  5. You can replace lusetup.exe with a newer one. I stated this earlier on when this first version appeared.
  6. You need a script to register this. I had this program and couldn't find anything in the registry So I just made a script to open the reg window and type everything in.
  7. I agree with you. I have used both Windows Server 2003 Stanad and Xp Home/Pro and I have not seen a BSOD unless I caused it (bad installations, etc.) XP and Server 2003 have both been very stable for me. Even more so with nLite .
  8. You don't know what you are talking about. I have more experience with foobar2000 than you ever have. A script can control every aspect of this installer.
  9. LimeWire Pro 4.8.0 Released!!! Changelog: None so far.
  10. under a rock. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hehe. Where I need to be.
  11. That would asking about warez. This is not allowed... Read the rules.
  12. You are kindy late on this. Where have you been?
  13. I use Opera but I use IE sometimes when sites don't work properly. I will try IE7,probably not like it and continue using Opera.
  14. NeroVision Express is what you would need if you burn video dvds. It does the job but personally I think there are better software out there than Nero, which is really bloated now. It didn't use to be that way.
  15. Well I like both Kaspersky and Symantec Antivirus. Kaspersky has a good interface and frequent updates but is resource hog although that wouldn't matter to me since so much I have 2GB of RAM & fast processor. I usually install and then uninstall (in VMWare) one of the other to test them when I new update appears but currently I'm using symantec which I would recommend to anybody.

  19. I get what you mean... but the forum has grown to become so big that one person cannot do that. And if 10 people have to do that, you have to give them a good reason or motivation for it.... And then there's the point of what happens if after everything's been sorted, again people post everything in the wrong places? We do our best to keep it clean and threads sorted properly... beyond that probably the members have to take an active interest in things themselves and not post eighty times about the same old issue which got resolved ages ago! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree the task is enormous for anyone to take on. I think the moderators do a pretty job keeping threads clean.
  20. Don't get me started on foobar2000!!!
  21. Who cares about this crap? I refuse to use IE. I don't care what is done, it will still be buggy and a major security risk. If Mr. Gates keeps bundling stuff in windows, my next move is back to linux...
