  1. Ups, if HP will consent the UPgrading from Win8 to Win7...then all the OEM dealers will consider that option and Microsoft will have two choices: make Service Pack 2 for Windows 7 as soon as possible, or even worst for their beloved Win8 - to make a Service Pack 1 with the start menu back where it belongs and split Windows in two different branches (as it should be): one for desktop/laptop and other for phone/tablet.
  2. 5 skype alternatives: http://www.cmswire.com/cms/enterprise-20/5-great-skype-alternatives-011315.php
  3. If Intel does that, it will lose a lot of clients - it's not a viable option for a business.
  4. I loved Win95 OSR-2! In MS-DOS 6.22 or Win 3.11 I used Norton Commander to do my job and later on was DOS Navigator. I didn't like the Win 3.11 interface, but when I installed Windows 95 OSR-2 for the first time I was so freakin' excited about the look. I loved it! For me, Win8 is just Win 3.11 on LCD display, that's it, nothing more.
  5. The "missing" drivers (audio & video) from Win8 x64 are probably also found in Win8 x64 installation (by default), so that's why they are not included in the list. The only way to find out is to install Win8 x64.
  6. This is like a linux world right now. There are 2 good programs that bring up the Start Menu in Win8 - StartIsBack and ClassicShell, but people keep bringing up same stuff packed in a different way. It's gonna be a hell out there when M$ will buy Tihiy's start menu to incorporate into Win8SP1.
  7. On Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server - ICS is not available. More info here.
  8. StartFinity is the most expensive so far. Heck there are much better options out there: SiB 2 licenses for 5 bucks or classic shell which is free - and they are MUCH BETTER. Why the heck should someone pay half of a Win8 upgrade license for a freakin' start menu?
  9. I will avoid Win8 definitely. Instead of castrating Win7 and presenting it as Win8 they should develop Win7 SP2 and add a defrag-free file system that would have been compatible with xFAT, FAT32, NTFS, ext3 and even HFS+. There are a lot of ways to improve an OS or develop "a new one" based on the previous.
  10. vipejc - you said it! I couldn't agree with you more. M$
  11. @LakotaRising: you don't get it, do you? It's the freedom of choice that WAS REMOVED from Windows 8, not the start menu. Me, I don't give a rat's a** over Windows 8 as long as I have other (better IMHO) options - but IF we allow MS to take away OUR FREEDOM OF CHOICE, this means we're no more than sheep - like in the Samsung Galaxy III advertisement.
  12. Did you search here for a modded driver? http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=24
  13. Check out Dr. Gerson's therapies for cancer and other chronic illnesses. Cancer is a wake-up call...he needs to find himself and be at peace with himself and the world. Don't fight life...LIVE IT!
  14. It's very impressive the fact that Windows XP (an 11 years-old OS) has 41% market share... Windows 7 will be in the same situation in 2023 IF Sinofsky will still be in charge of Windows development.
  15. Yep! Advertising is the next step. They will call it Windows Shopping v9.0 P.S. This post is an irony - so treat it as such.
  16. Well, I don't care anymore. I'll stick to Windows 7 as long as I can. When I won't be able to check mail and browse forums 'cause I'll need Windows 999 or Windows Schmuck or whatever they will call it, I'll switch to BSD.
  17. George Washington said: "Those who sacrifice a bit of privacy for more security deserves neither". He was/is/will be right always. MS will pay a lot of money to have fans that will write the right stuff to promote their sh!t. Clueless people don't get it that it's not about OS anymore, it's about freedom of choice.
  18. Definitely, Samsung S III. Apple is for kids 8 to 12 and Nokia is for kids 3 to 5 years old.

    Windows 8

I have a gut feeling that Windows 9 will be Windows 7 Service Pack 2 renamed.
  20. Here it is with images:http://aavida.com/2011/01/17/howto-make-windows-xp-sp3-installer-in-usb-flashdisk/ or here: http://liliputing.com/2008/04/install-windows-xp-on-mini-note-usb.html or use this:http://wintoflash.com/download/en/
  21. I guess the only "evil" MS should fire is mr. Sinofsky. He literally p***es on 17 years of Windows philosophy, just to please the shareholders. He should think twice about his "strategy"...it will back-fire into his face.
