Well here is a company that i really like, they are called MWAVE .. my friends and i have gotten nothing but good service from them..im not sure if they have the best deals, beacuse i usely pick my stuff up from them , which saves cash...Give them a look... -Drew

HAHAHA!! me and a friend of mine built one back in the day, but insted of using hairspray we used gun powder and some other s***, we got a electrical ignitor hid in a car and shot it through his garage door....We dident think that it would be so poerfull but it still kicked a** even thought his parents werer furious... -Drew

Try going into your IE Options then Anvanced, click Restore Defalts. Also go in to privacy> Advanced tick overide atomatic cookie handling, accept 1st and 3rd party and tick allow session cookies. See if that works M8 -Drew

Well rathger then ding all that drastic stuff, i would just run Office without the updates... I mean it works pretty well, and if you cant afford Office xp that seems to be the best way to get around alot of wasted time and alot of spent money. If we cant figure it out here, i would contact Mirco$lut and see if they are willing to fix the problem.... Goodluck -Drew

Dodger, i had the same exact problem as you did, unfortunitly i found no cure :wail: But you might want to uninstall office and update one by one, meaning do the sp1 update then restart and see if it works, then exectue the Sp2 update and try to find what particular update is messing it up... Alot of people forget that the P4 requirese a bit more power then the standard CPU, thus the P4 MOBOs have these small little power cords coming off them that your P4 complient Power supply should have a special plug for. it gives it the little boost it needs. Check it out, this could be the casue of your troubles! -Drew

Well if the Office 97 is an upgrade Cd then you will need proff that you have a full version. This means that you will need a retail of any previous version of office other wise the install will be a no go... Byw, if this doesnt work out i would defenitly consider getting either Office 2000 or Xp they are far superior to the 97 eddition. -Drew

Well im still looking the Cheifttec case that you did find was the oldest model of the dragon series...which i dont really want...but if i did go with it, it would be to save cash..but the link you gave me came with a 500w PSU so the costs was a bit over what im willing to pay for a older case. And i really dont want the LanLi..they are over priced and just not worth it to me...plus the sorpio is way cooler! Anyone have a clue where i can get this Illusive case? -Drew

WEll with my new Pc shall come a new case..i have decided on the newest series from ChiefTec, the scorpio. The problem is....i have no idea where to buy one of them! I need a site based in the USA, so i can get my rig up and running! And Btw, the cheeper the better! THANKX! -Drew

Well if you wanna pinpoint the peoblem...try to unplug the cable modem line from the computer, and see if it still does it...atleast then you will know whats causing it. -Drew

Maybe she has that annoying Windows schedule running...i know that you can set it to turnon your comp in the middle of the night and run things like scan disk, defrag and antivirus s***....but my brain is a bit rusty as to where you can modify this little app. -Drew

Well first off, the rebuilding ov your icons is sort of a standared thing....the slowing effect might be casue by your hardware....Can you give us your hardware config? that might be the reason. Also, if you want to modify the intervals in which they do rebuild, you can use a program by the name of X-Setup http://www.xteq.com/downloads/#xset its a pretty decent tweak app, and has many fuctions more then the one you mentioned.
