  1. Can't install Office 97 on new XP PC

    My old PC (windows 95) with a pentium processer (slow--less than 200) crashed with damaged hard drive. I decided to buy a new pc rather than upgrade the harddrive. The new system is window XP home based. When I tried to install the Office 97 upgrade that I bought and installed on the old PC on the new it tells me that it will not install the software because it can not find a qualifing version of one of the old software titles. The new PC has microsoft works but all my files are Office 97 based. (I had a data backup). Is there any way to get my Office 97 installed on the new PC?
