  5. As said previoulsy, Win2k3 is not a desktop os...its a server and maybe a workstation at best. There is not need to change if you currently run Xp pro. |Drew|

  7. I would try to run the Virus scan under Safe mode. To enter this mode, Hold down F8 with Xp starts to load, it will give you options, choose Safe mode. Im not sure if this will work for sure, cause i do recall some versions of NAV to require a min od 24bit color...... If all else fails, goto run and type "msconfig" and disable all in startup and select dianostic start up. This will limit the things that may be causing the system to lock part way through the scan. |Drew|

  20. First off what type of CPU is it, if its anAMD, ur dad may have cracked the core. Other wise, make sure the HEatsink is properly attached, and there is thermal compound between the core and sink. Further make sure the fan is plugged in. If thats all proper, he may have bumped the vid card or ram, try reseating those. Do this with precation, esd, or static can cause damage to electronic components. Good Luck |Drew|

  24. For the short period in which i had Win2k3, java worked fine for me. |Drew|
  25. Agreed! This is actully what i do....but it really depends on what your isp charges per ip. mine is 6.99 per month, but i have seen up to 15, wich doesnt seem worth it to me.....though i do like not having to foward ports for games and appz. |Drew|
