Here is my current Hotfix file... IM hoping some may be able to point out the problems. From what i understan i may have some hotfixes that modify the same file and that my be causing some of my problems. if anyone can weed those ones out id be very thankful. -Hotfix Q823718 is not installing slilently --Current errors on install " Another installation is already in progress. AutoPartition=1 or 0 If you have the selection on 1 then Windows Setup will install the OS on any free partition that is available. If you remove this line or if you put AutoPartition=0 then setup will ask you on which partition you wish to install Windows onto and advises you what to do if your partition already contains an OS. |Drew|

First off, yet the access point can be connected to the router. A access point does not rout your wan ip, its like a switch or a hub, to in order to use multiple wireless computeres, u bmust attach it to the router. As for the differences between B and G. B is definatly not better..yes its used by more people, but thats only due to the fact that ts the older standard, and has been around for longer. G is backwards compatable, so you can use it in a B environment. But G is fater, it is claimed to be 5 times faster, but in most casues i have seen its not more then double. I reccomend the G cause its a small price increase and its worth it if you trasfer files amoung your house to have the increased bandwidth. Additionally it is becoming the new standard, so im assuming they will probly be able to increase its stability and throuput |Drew|

If you install the application sliently, in all cases i have seen it will ask for the serial on first use. Make sur your using the proper switches. In regards to regISTERING A PROGRAM WITH A REGISTRY ENRTY, LOOK IN THE LOCAL USER AND ALL USERS SECTION UNDER SOFTWARE, THEN LOOK FOR THE REGISTRATION INFO IN (SORRY CAPS) one of the entries. Then export in a txt file and save it with a .reg extention. Incorperate that to execute in your Unatteneded install and it should work. |Drew|

A site full of collected Mods and HAcks, including reg hacks etc, would be very usefull. Just make sure to have a well thought out interface and searching option. I have found that many large databases of these things generlly tunrs me away do to poor layout. Goodluck |Drew|
