well if ur mobo is blown up there mite be some black marks on the side of ur mobo.well u can also check by trying different PS and also whether all ur onboard peripherals r workin or not

it is possible 2 copy the whole suse folder frm suse live dvd and u can use it but live dvd won't have all features.so u will need 2 d/l an installable ISO just google for it.

well that's 1 way i cud think off cause games like NFS UG and all have many large size intros.Btw Ripken u tried just creating a Self extracting archive thru winrar of game?that can compress em a lot although the installation takes a bit more time but for space time can be a compromise

@RIP here's a thought u can try 2 compress the video(intro)and audio files of game or remove some of em and then just create an image. mite be that can help

guys but the copy speeds in XP and 98Se are highly different.it takes arnd 3-4 mins 2 copy 4 Gb data on XP and that on 98 takes ages why so?is this due 2 different set of platform and different source codes that the 2 OS r setup or some other reason

m8 it won't work if ya connect em all in series. the thing is gouki that every UPS battery has a certain discharge time.well by disassembling the UPS u can try sumthin like just using all the batteries in series just like u put cells into ur walkman but don't think that wud work. Well the best solution for u is 2 just get an inverter which wud provide u a backup for around about 6 hours depending upon its capacity and it gets automatically recharged when ur electricity comes back and stays on. the thing is inverters r a bit expensive but they r worth the cost.

well u can try a cd burner which burns with a blue laser.most of us use a red laser 2 burn so u can try that.as far as ne other protection it wud get cracked by alcohol 120 or clonecd

is ur hdd defragged?btw did u try out 2 check out some registry probs and try 2 fix em using regvac or registry mechanic.

@langlest mite be u have set em as primary master and secondary master.there mite be some prob in ur secondary port or some cables prob.just set ur hdd1(from where u boot)as primary master and the undetected hdd as primary slave and just set ur cd/dvd reader/burner as secondary master and check whether both hdd and cd/dvd is working or not

well did u try 2 check out ne other hdd connected as slave?it just mite be that the port's bad u mite have 2 go for a mobo change.it's just a hunch.for SATA drivers u can install em thru the cd also.

hari here's a thing which u can do.i do assume that most of ur c:\drive wud be gonners by the bad sectors.do u have ne important data stored in it?if yes use the above mentioned recovery tools.if ya got a spare hdd just format the c:\drive backup ur data on the spare hdd and then just run spinrite or hdd regenerator 2 just fix the bad sectors upto an extent but a reformat wud be advisable.hope that helps

well they r 2 different things.so its install won't remove the windows messenger(correct me if i'm wrong).well choice of messengers is quite ur personal choice.i wud prefer MSN than windows messenger

can u access that partition when the disk is on secondary?what i suggest is just transfer all data from that partition.then delete the partition thru partition magic and recreate it

@dirt space will loss depend upon the format type like fat32/ntfs and also on cluster size used during partitioning
