Here are some steps that got IE7 running on XP SP2, without installing it. First extract the IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe file using something like winrar. Then go to the folder you just extracted and delete the file SHLWAPI.DLL and the folder Update. Then open notepad and just save a blank file in notepad as IEXPLORE.exe.local . Then you will be able to run the iexplore.exe. found it here: http://labs.insert-title.com/labs/?ID=795

ya is a .dll file in the update folder of ie7setup legitlib.dll.

i still get some error about iesetup.dll at xpsetup. i used nlite with ie7 setup acting as a service pack and also pack all files from ie7setup pack and add entries to dosnet.inf and txtsetup.sif. and i get the same error....

i think i quit.... is still buggy....found one WU does not show up corectlly.....

i unpacked the ie7 using winrar and then found out that same files are also in my xpcd\i386 folder. except this ones: ieapfltr.dll ieapfltr.dat ieframe.dll ieakmmc.chm xmlrw.dll. so i am thinking to pack the rest and overwrite them to I386. but i need to find a way to add this ones above....

just extract your iso on your hard drive, run the slipstreamer and then recreate the iso.

no u cannot use winrar. i use picozip.

the updates on wu are only critical for windows....so that's why not all from here appear on wu. the others just update files form windows or just add registry entries but they are not critical. @sonic as for windows messenger not to show up on your wu page go expand it and see that it has an option there that says: Don't show this update again. that is it....

it seems that i dont have the minimode too. i had it but after i made a new instalation with nlite 1.05 i dont have it. not even after i use my reg key for wmp10 which use to work.... so i am investigating this...

@troscat try to redo the xpcd again using nlite 1.05b. also redownload slipstreamer again. or wait for RyanVM's pack 1.3.0.............. @Cybertronic what is that toolbar problem?

sorry mate but firefox and opera load pages faster then ie especially for a slow connection....
