  1. I don't use XP x64 aka Server 2003 (NT 5.2) but someone claimed Supermium for XP is twice as much faster. I don't give too much credit to these synthetic speed tests based on netwok connections but can anyone else confirm this ? https://browserbench.org/Speedometer2.0/
  2. why do you use it on XP ? https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB942288
  3. 100% agreed.
  4. Fixed. I downloaded Supermium portable and created two more folders (bin + chrome) on top of the root folder. https://github.com/adeii/supermium-portable/releases/tag/v121

  9. it's a bargain in comparison to other addictions https://www.journaldunet.com/patrimoine/guide-des-finances-personnelles/1421603-prix-du-tabac-les-tarifs-grimpent-en-france-en-2024/
  10. I can't remember seeing chrome with the title bar but I also like it better and tabs can be moved up and down too. Firefox unfortunately tends to copy chrome mistakes as far as UI goes. the Supermium 121 XP backport takes up a lot of RAM maybe someone will need to rebase some dll files.
  11. I know there is no official SP4 I just wanted to know if M$ ever created an official list with all updates post EOL 2008 and removed the superseded ones.
  12. I am checking out the ''what is included in...'' file is this an official list created by M$ ?

  14. ''Dirty corporations and Hindu-managers are trying to deprive the many users of all the benefits that were created by technically more advanced people than them.'' Mozilla and Brave are not owned by indians just to name a couple of them. although I agree to some extenct
  15. I think the 360 loader handles the RAM usage better than chrome.exe so the browsing feels faster. only drawback is that when it reaches just about 90% of RAM the active tabs will crash or try to switch to IE. maybe it's just an issue on my side because I have recently had over 100 tabs open at a time...
  16. just in time. we have a new browser that supports MV3 extensions while google is about to dump the legacy chrome web store 360 chrome served me well for a long while now, it's significantly faster and doesn't stuggle like Serpent and the other sluggish variants
  17. this one doesn't seem to work. https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/398802-google-images-direct-links-2
  18. sometimes when I launch the browser an error prompt pops up but the browser works fine (C:\......TEMP\360Loader\regedit\backup1\backup-11.reg error...) I can't remember what is the regedit string for the 360chrome browser so I can delete and reset it.
  19. is there a quick user guide for dummies ? I have never used openVPN for XP I have used Freedome but I found out it was a bad VPN https://www.f-secure.com/en/vpn then I stumble over this one which does the job https://windscribe.com/
  20. they know the speech voices I have installed SpeechSynthesis
  21. I personally don't use the W10 user agent string otherwise the website makers will inject more anti-XP code. anyway I don't think I miss anything out because when a website is broken it won't work with eirther UA's
  22. is it me or some posts seem to have gone away during the breakdown...
  23. M$ owns github. it's up to them to decide whether WinXP is abandonware or not. the latest release 2.7 has 3 times as much security vendors as the porevious release 2.5 https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/875bcac02aaad8547c48a2d38436ed62607a317c7a9407384550fe0606268ad4
