XP doesn't actually need a NVMe drive you only need to know what registry parameters slow it down. I have a ''broken'' XP partition in a old HDD with tens of tools installed and it really flies I feel it faster than Win7 in a SSD I open a folder with lots of pics and they all load instantantly it's really impressive.

''Users impacted by the rollout will see Manifest V2 extensions automatically disabled in their browser'' https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/migrating/mv2-sunset/ disabled ? what the heck !! so all of my extensions will become unusable or can they be used under developer mode ? this or any other web browser without extensions is dead in the water

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default here is the folder where you chrome history is saved in and you can easily restore everything (bookmarks, extensions, sessions, downloads...) into a fresh browser install

some extensions stop working when they get wiped from the chrome store. if you have a phone with Play Protect enabled it will also remove harmful apps https://support.google.com/android/answer/2812853?hl=en-419 I suspect the ungoogled version will not warn anyone about fraudulent extensions. also the CRX website doesn't list and store them all this one for example is unavailable: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/translator/pnpdnibdembnnlaiibkeandepjajegoi

there's no error prompt, it translates this site perfectly on the other hand I tried to install it on 13.5 r8 and it just doesn't work. I installed it on 13.5 r7 and the top white square containing the languages has been cut off and half of them are unseen it's a screenshot of W7 but it behaves similarly on XP

Win7 Thorium - Next Ungoogled ???
Milkinis replied to NotHereToPlayGames's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
you dislike a web browser developed in china however your french court is in defense of a china made phone that apparentely misused Nokia patents Nokia is also the center of controversy as to why the US banned Huawei because Donald Trump wants your 5G data to migrate to Whashington instead of Beijing. -

I don't bother with programs that require Java to be installed, there are good enough alternatives out there

XP hardware with official drivers support is not affected by this threat https://downfall.page/

indeed I don't much like to deal with those who don't use XP on a daily basis

Win7 Thorium - Next Ungoogled ???

I would be much worried about the hidden misleading ingredients (E-xxxx) and not the useless label of the country of origin.
