  1. Then, theoretically, they would let you in like me. Because we were already fingerprinted with the location. When the flags were reset, everyone showed their real location.
  2. The capacitance doesn't matter anymore when they have high ripples. They become resistors over time.
  3. It's for goofs. An electrolyte is a still an electrolyte, trust me. I worked with 'em long before you were (probably) born. They made good caps in the end of 70s, early 1980s, which can still be alive. As for your board, I can easily predict they all have high ripples now, it won't be stable when overclocked, etc. So the USB may simply "fell" off, or you killed them with static.
  4. That may be it! I also don't like when Flash drives are all metal. One can still easily discharge all the hell onto the USB, be it with, or without the grounded case. I usually ground myself with a piece of wire, when working with electronic parts (maintenance and the such). I also touch something grounded before inserting flash drives.
  5. The failed 14 y.o. GA-B75M-D3H has the trivial capacitors (electrolytes). Nothing fancy. https://image1280.macovi.de/images/product_images/1280/794307_1__8428640-1.jpg
  6. It doesn't matter, the caps have a limited shelf life. But most don't notice because they upgrade every 1-4 years. Probably, you were too young to remember the early 2000, when caps on board lived for 1-2 years at best.
  7. This is a very limited list, I always get errors upon visiting Let's Encrypt Authority X3 R3 sites; https://letsencrypt.org/
  8. I had an OEM board made by Acer. In 2007 or so. LGA775. It came with an Acer ready-made PC. All USB ports suddenly died. Later I read those were affected by static electricity charges.
  9. Hi, how do you do.
  10. In France, which is a glorious country, I can send a physical letter. They respond to my address in the same form. Are you a citizen?
  11. I use cash and go to physical stores. And they always ask:"please give us your phone to register", which I refuse.
  12. This one is even older! And Gigabyte is known for using junk capacitors.
  13. DH77KC This board is over 12 years old. It's actually fantastic it worked that long, the capacitors are dead, most likely.
  14. Well, he (or anyone else) can't promise anything without having the actual work, be it ready (or in progress), as far as I understand,
  15. I had to be nurdy this time. I knew you'd intervene. I'm a clairvoyant. xD.
  16. It was an obvious fake right from the start. Too obvious. I wrote about it in the beginning. I don't know why people spent their time. May I kindly request @Dave-Hto take action against the user named @TheLeftOldComputer under the section 4.e - vapourware. Edit: I wrote here. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186356-just-bored-what-software-should-i-create/#findComment-1269908
  17. I forgot to tell, Mature Vulkan started to be released in 37x.xx (if we talk Nvidia), earlier were in beta mode, buggy as hell. Last XP driver is 368.xx.
  18. sRGB always gives better depth and colours, I always used it via SCART (with dedicated RGB pins), even on a simple old 29 inch TV.
  19. Those are easily obtainable from YT (8 and 10 bit, both).
  20. Neither of those will work with XP. Even DX9Ex and DXx10 are missing from XP, not mention 11 and 12. Vulkan drivers DON'T exist for XP. It's more like for Vista. With Vista those work, but I'm not gonna go into details since it would be off-topic.
  21. My French brother, please accept my deepest condolences. That loss is so tragic, no words can describe. And yes, be on your guard with scammers, they usually know our weak places, where to push. Prenez soin de vous ! / Take care.
  22. Forgot to tell, It's good to have clear thinking people on MSFN, (I just made you a compliment). So, please go on, keep up.
  23. I agree with you, at this point we still know nothing, I too want to see more proof! System kernel is way too important to install from unknown sources! I'd prefer the developer to have a verified MSFN account, I don't trust github after reading their TOS.
  24. Now, thanks to @xYannikx, we know it's also a fake, @AstragonQC, please delete your post with the fake, someone can report, if not already. BTW, I wouldn't believe that story about the mother. Too soapy, and his English is very bad, too bad for someone (allegedly) from Australia.
