Go get some rest! Find a nice, quiet place. I now rest too much, so I login here from time to time from my iPad.
-
This is because of the bug below, someone reported it, too. Softpedia has Cloudflare "anti-human protection", https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/867

Each version of Kernel needs only 1 (yes, one) update. This was all written by the developer in the Kernel Topic. https://msfn.org/board/topic/181612-wip-windows-vista-extended-kernel/ Example, the last Kernel only needs the SHA2 update, other versions need other updates, you can all find it there. For Vista SP2, the below step is optional (as per the original developer notes). "3. Update your Vista to 2017 EOL version (especially install sp1,sp2 and the platform update)"

I'm on rest, no desktop PC around, could you kindly tell, what about the buggy CH implementation you wrote about? Is it solved?
-
On one hand, yes, on the other, kinda scary future. 126 version still had some remnants of the old GUI, which were completely removed now, but the China fork counterpart is already at version 129 for quite some time, so.... looks like the creator solved the GUI removal problem. That said, I trust in win32.

I can take an educated guess, if we are to assume @Saxon and @NotHereToPlayGames live in different countries, that part doesn't include the IP. Also, looks like you're both on different OS, we exclude the OS from there, too.

Chronicles of Sagrea Requires Windows 10+, but gets an unofficial Windows 7 Fix. Search it.
-
ExoCross Build 15551072 Requires Windows 10+, no hacks helping it to run on 7, so far.

Can you define, what do you mean under "work", without going into deep technical analysis and speculation. Do you mean a simple playback, or HARDWARE accelerated GPU processing?
-
Maxed out CPU means you have no HARDWARE acceleration at work. G610 doesn't support accelerating of HEVC. Plain and simple. "The GT 610 is VERY old (2012) and will not support hardware decode or encode of x265 (HEVC) at all, and x264 support may well be somewhat limited compared to more modern cards. It corresponds to Nvidia Purevideo 5" https://superuser.com/questions/1846015/using-low-end-nvidia-gt-610-gpu-with-ffmpeg-and-linux-ryzen-5600

About four-five years ago they were simply renamed to Active Variations. Because their properties had been extended along with the collected data, and they can change themselves dynamically (hence the new "Active" word).
-
What are you surprised about> that's how they track people across different devices. Ever heard of canvas database? Well, it's the same, you're in their database, and I strongly suggest to remove your unique ID screenshot!
-
@NotHereToPlayGames, if we are to assume you got your Ungoogled from proper channels, them I'm rather disappointed in it, as we know, it claims to be really "Ungoogled", but the variation hash is the core of Evil. It's still there! How so? I was never able to switch them off in Thorium either.

"For years, since 2012 at least, Chrome has sent a header called X-client-data, formerly known as X-chrome-variations, to keep track of the field trials of in-development features active in a given browser. Google activates these randomly when the browser is first installed. Active trials are visible if you type chrome://version/ into Chrome's address bar. Under the label Variations, you're likely to see a long list of hexadecimal numbers similar to 202c099d-377be55a." link What this means? Right! The generated number is unique!
-
Yep, @Saxon is right. You're in trouble. If you see this hashtag/dogtag, then it's been generated already, and contains everything about you. Proof. "If stats are on, then the ID is called 'High entropy ID' in the source-code, and 'determined by your IP address, operating system, Chrome version and other parameters,' and sticks to your installation," explained Granal in an email to The Register. https://www.theregister.com/2020/02/05/google_chrome_id_numbers/

Probably because you added the switch after the switches' end. (on the screenshot). BTW, the order matters, at first I thought it was a placebo, but no,

Oh, don't worry, no hurry to reply. There's a war against VPN going on, Reddit banned VPN, as well as Instagram and all similar. What are we even talking about?! They all want your phone number. Internet privacy is no more.

I'm soon gonna be buying a similar notebook, what you guys suggest? I prefer Fujitsu. For which OS? Ideally, Vista, even the 32bit would suffice, as we know about the bug with after Haswell and Vista 64. Need a model with a similar card as the OP. With the ability to switch off Intel GPU via BIOS. Thanks.
-
No, nothing else runs, as soon as I boot up, it has a load of 3%, if I boot into Safe Mode, no load observed. DWM? Tried non-Aero custom them (to exclude Aero as the culprit), but all the same, No such on the same PC with Vista. Further tests are only possible when (if) I return. Thanks. You have a 700 series card, do you get the same with 7? Mine is GTX Titan (first issue Jan. 2013)

As I already wrote here, I'm on vacation, no desktop PC around, besides - you mustn't compare on Windows 10, I wrote that, too. Only those OS that don't have the new memory functioning are relevant,
-
It's already proven. "Save memory in Chrome by using one process per site" https://www.ghacks.net/2015/02/08/save-memory-in-chrome-by-using-one-process-per-site/ Now your turn!

Brave claims they are Ungoogled. Google telemetry removed, Brave telemetry added.
-
It doesn't matter anyways, a couple of months further, and you won't be able to do more and more things with it. Don't dwell on old browsers, I'm not a fan of upgrading, as you may know, but 1.5 years is the upper sane limit.
-
Probably, you don't want to. I read those that live in a hot climate don't want it. Never checked myself though.
-
I'm lost, why would you need a version with which the bank won't let you in? Besides, it's obsolete. I just tried it. It's 1.5 years old. I can't shop with it.
