  1. I some months ago could run Chrome, (90xx or similar) on Vista Extended Kernel
  2. It is really fully working? As far as I know Python 3.7 backported to XP has problems with some Internet stuff.
  3. It deppends on your religion, there are a lot of Christian churchs. I prefer an online Bible, if English would be my primary language, I would use this one. https://www.codexsinaiticus.org/en/
  4. you probably can even install XP on that computer.
  5. As I told, that's achievable in old Windows 10 and older systems, but these systems don't do it automatically while Windows 10 1903+ does it. That's why I call it Windows 10 feature.
  6. Forgot something. Would it work on legacy Bios and old computers?
  7. I have two questions. 1. Has it the audio enabled? Will the narrator and similar software speak or produce audio? 2. What loads when you open it? The explorer or the cmd?
  8. in that case, deactivating DEP is the solution for the ExKernel problems?
  9. to get rid of adds, we just need to remove these updates.
  10. There are some things pressent in Windows 10 that was helpful, and the interesting thing is that such things can be acieved in older windows like Windows 7, Vista or XP maybe! The topic is about this things. Here's one: in Windows 10 1903, Microsoft automatically order the content of download folder by date, and old Windows 10 and older systems don't do that. Here's how to achieve that: 1. Go to downloads or whatever is called your download folder, don't select anything. Just press the right button of your mouse, clic on order by, and select date. Do the same on the menu group by, select date. And you'll have this Windows 10 1903 improvement in older Windows! I decided to post this here couse Windows 10 marketplace has increased in 2019, and I think maybe is due to such changes. I think there are more tricks, so post it here!
  11. As far as I know, Netscape 9 don't support the html 5 video/audio tag, moreover, I never managed to play any kind of multimedia content on it even on newer Windows. Did I missed something?
  12. Can someone test MEmu? It is a bit simpler in my opinion.
  13. In that case, if I remove the locales the extensions will work? It seems that there where a similar trick, but now I can't remember it.
  14. There are some Twitter clients which don't require Javascript! Maybe the same happends with other social networks. Another page with works is historio.us a site to save your bookmarks.
  15. What that f***? I never thought that I must provide the path of Windows folder! Maybe it wasn't properly labelled. I moved the files manually, but since 32 bit apps crash I'll reinstall it and try with the provided installer putting the Windows folder directory in the first prompt.
  16. I ran it as administrator all times. Maybe deleting the bak files which I had could solve the issue?
  17. I can't install it, the installer fails while creating the .bak files. Tried too in safe mode, it apparently installs but no modified files in system32/syswow64 when I checked. How can I solve it?
  18. I want to know what upgrades/downgrades are achievable without doing a clean installation despite that Microsoft don't provide/support it. Here are the possibilities. 1. Windows 9x/2000 to Vista/7+ 2. Windows XP to 7/8/10/11 3. Windows Vista to 8/10/11 4. Windows 7/8/8.1 to 10 (LTS versions) and 11 5. Interesting upgrades through Windows Alpha/beta builds. And, what about these downgrades? Are possible without doing a clean installation? 1. Windows 10/11 to Windows 8.1 and older 2. Windows 8.1 to Windows 7 and older 3. Windows 7/Vista to XP and older (theoretically it is possible to downgrade Windows 7 to Vista). 4. Windows XP to 2000, maybe downgrade to Windows 9x will be very difficult. 5. Curious downgrades through alpha/beta builds.
  19. Seeing this registry, nvdaHelperRemote.dll is calling a function not present in Vista ExKernel *32 bits part( I expect it will be implemented. Replacing nvdaHelperRemote.dll from newer NVDA versions with nvdaHelperRemote.dll from 2017.3 one-s made the program unusable, so I-ll just use it to test some stuff, and wait while the functions will be properly implemented. Maybe someone can try more Python 3.7] programs and see if this happen with other apps? I'll try to do that, this is a big step at least for me! I'm very happy to see 32 bits incompatible programs running!
  20. I managed to get the NVDA registry. It pressent all things that happened when NVDA was starting. Here it is. 21. guys, can someone help me and debug this? Here's the situation. I tried newer versions of NVDA, newer than 2017.3 which is the last to support XP and Vista. If you don't spoof it as Windows 7/8/10 it don't work. Ok, I put the proper content in global osver.ini. Spoofing it as Windows 10 don't makes sense cause it do strange things with letters with accents. So, I spoofed as Windows 7. Well, it partially works. It throw two or more errors which I can't read cause I deppend on NVDA, but pressing space two times it start speaking. I noticed that even the NVDA addons like remote are properly working. So, I wanted to know what errors it's throwing, and what dll, functions and other stuff is missing. Pd. The installer is not working, so I just used the installer to create a portable of NVDA (I previously spoofed it). And then tried to run the executable. Pd. Don't put the platformID, it breaks a lot of programs. Here's the content of my osver.ini. [global] Enabled=1 CSDVersion=Service Pack 2 with Extended Kernel [C:\nvda2022.1\nvda.exe] Enabled=1 CSDVersion=Service Pack 2 with Extended Kernel Win7SuperVerFix=1 MajorVersion=6 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=7601 [C:\nvda2022.1\nvda_dmp.exe] Enabled=1 CSDVersion=Service Pack 2 with Extended Kernel Win7SuperVerFix=1 MajorVersion=6 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=7601 [C:\nvda2022.1\nvda_eoaProxy.exe] Enabled=1 CSDVersion=Service Pack 2 with Extended Kernel Win7SuperVerFix=1 MajorVersion=6 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=7601 [C:\nvda2022.1\nvda_noUIAccess.exe] Enabled=1 CSDVersion=Service Pack 2 with Extended Kernel Win7SuperVerFix=1 MajorVersion=6 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=7601 [C:\nvda2022.1\nvda_slave.exe] Enabled=1 CSDVersion=Service Pack 2 with Extended Kernel Win7SuperVerFix=1 MajorVersion=6 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=7601 [C:\nvda2022.1\nvda_ uiAccess.exe] Enabled=1 CSDVersion=Service Pack 2 with Extended Kernel Win7SuperVerFix=1 MajorVersion=6 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=7601
  22. In my old computer I use Vista. In the other computer I have, I use Windows 10 and I'm seriosly thinking if upgrading to 11 will be a good idea. Is interesting the fact that Windows 7 still has more marketshare that Windows 11.
  23. I expect 32 bits x86 chromium/electron apps will work some day
  24. I'm totally blind, so I at least don't need such stuff. I usually keep the screen resolution at minimum. I just installed the proper graphic driver when I found it cause I thought that it would improve the performance on some programs.
  25. I used Vista without proper graphic driver, just standard Windows one's. I didn't had important issues. So, it deppends on what do you want to do in that Pc.
