My Browser Builds (Part 4)

Oh, I misunderstood this. Sorry. -
Yes, that's what I exactly meant when I said this: Though, the banner appears squashed as well very often.

TeamViewer has gone bye-bye on Windows XP, replacement needed

What I also hate is the limitation of sessions in the free license. Other than that, AnyDesk is fine. -
My Browser Builds (Part 4)

With today's Serpent 52's release, I can confirm that Twitter now loads fine. Thanks! -
I noticed it too. And it's taking like around 1/3 of MSFN's space.

It was about running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on Windows 8.1, but with a workaround.

My Browser Builds (Part 4)
mina7601 replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
For Serpent 55, it works down to 60 as the minimum version. For Serpent 52, it works down to 63 as the minimum version. (after adding the "Firefox" slice manually) Correct, but it also has other differences besides that: Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:4.8) Goanna/20170101 Basilisk/52.9.0 It doesn't have "Firefox" slice, and rv is 4.8. It also has "Goanna" slice instead of "Gecko", and the date is 20170101, instead of 20100101. I am not sure about this, but in my case, in a clean profile (in both Serpent 52 and Serpent 55), Twitter finishes loading normally in both of them. In my case, I was able to load Twitter normally in both Serpent 52 and Serpent 55 without toggling any of these options. -
TeamViewer has gone bye-bye on Windows XP, replacement needed
mina7601 replied to assenort's topic in Windows XP
Even though this post is 3 years old, and Windows 10 was the latest Windows version at that time, I just tried connecting Win XP to my friend's Win 11 PC using AnyDesk. It works OK! Also, performance isn't bad after all (after testing it for a while), at least on my Win XP SP3 VM with just 2 GB RAM. Here's how it looks like: And don't worry about the sound tray icon displaying like that, it's just that he didn't install an audio device. Other than that, everything works fine. -

Can confirm. -
Yes, time is passing so fast.

Chromium 115 for Windows XP without One Core Api
mina7601 replied to Iron_Wind0ws's topic in Windows XP
Even if that's the case, that still won't change my decision. I will still wait Supermium to support XP in 2024. -
Yes, after 8 days.

Chromium 115 for Windows XP without One Core Api
mina7601 replied to Iron_Wind0ws's topic in Windows XP
I forgot to say, don't let my suggestion about using Supermium affect your choice. If you still want to use Chromium 115 even after Supermium supports XP, it's your choice! -

If that other forum isn't of the type "Warez" (since if it's warez, that would be against forum rules, particularly rule 1.a), then sure, you can link it here. BTW, the exact timebomb for Chromium 115 browser (after using RunAsDate program to find out) is August 1, 2024. -
Chromium 115 for Windows XP without One Core Api
mina7601 replied to Iron_Wind0ws's topic in Windows XP
@Iron_Wind0ws Actually, there's a different browser that you will soon be able to use in your Windows XP than this Chromium 115 browser, and it's much better, IMO: Supermium, by @win32: https://github.com/win32ss/supermium It supports Windows Vista, but it doesn't support Windows XP yet. However, it will support XP in 2024. (see: https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/96) The thing is: Chromium 115 has a timebomb of 1 year, something that the other Chromium browsers generally don't have, not even the original Google Chrome itself has it! -

Yeah, this happens to me too sometimes and it's very annoying. Even though I do agree with this statement, it doesn't mean we should ignore the existence of likes/upvotes. -
From: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/ "If you got a crash but without blue screen Describe detailed how to reproduces the crash, do not forget to put the link. Do not post pictures of the crash, this is useless and a waste. If i don't reproduce the crash myself then you may to submit drwatson.log. Drwatson log is usually inside All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson. Minidump also may be usefull. Do not post any irrelevent logs." It also won't matter where to submit your crash report, here at MSFN in this topic or in a new issue at GitHub (https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues), @feodor2 will check both places.

Don't forget to consider these old goodies as well. This one, too. https://web.archive.org/web/20190907223934/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpgmOg7XzR0

It's a font, actually. If you looked in inspect element, under: .fa { You will see that it says: font: normal normal normal 14px/1 FontAwesome;
-
You can use inspect element, and point on the square to know what font it is, or you can use the WhatFont extension.
