  1. Probably not, best thing would probably be to run it, disable the WINSAT task, and then install the media foundation from 7
  2. Should probably turn Google Translate off before quoting, but what's being talked about is x64 ntdll
  3. I meant try putting the code before rsrc/reloc in x64 ntdlll. Modded native ntdll is better than having to modify every Firefox update.
  4. I can understand most of this stuff, and can understand why some people might not understand some things. So that's why I decided to post that message. I was going to wait until somebody else did, but nobody else did. I do dislike the mentality of you must have 300 IQ or you will not be welcome.
  5. Maybe that might have caused ntdll issues as well, but I don't know how you tested modifying the file
  6. It's not like they killed your dog or something, this is too much for a basic everyone knows the error message argument.
  7. The latest New Moon 27 x64 crashes at launch on XP x64. I tested this with a used profile and with no profile under a XP x64 VM using VMware Workstation 14.1.8.
  8. Burd has a mobile 1060, which is able to work (somewhat) on Vista I've even gotten 970M drivers to install on XP, but I was unable to test, because Optimus. Also, I've discovered the M5000M seller never took the money, never shipped the item, and never said anything about it.
  9. The template is literally: "The procedure entry point (Function) could not be located in the dynamic link library (dll)." For that one screenshot, it'd be: "The procedure entry point RtlUTF8ToUnicodeN could be not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll."
  10. Still waiting on the M5000M Paid extra for expedited shipping which said it'd arrive by the 4th. It's now the 13th.
  11. Now that you said that, I remember running 8.1 on some old 1.9GHz Dual Core AMD laptop, think it was like the TK-57 or something
  12. Yeah, because I remember setting up a 8.1 PC for a family member with a Phenom II X4 955, and it worked great. That PC runs 10 now, and works fine, albeit slower because of 10.
  13. If you like efficiency, NT 6.2 is actually the best of modern Windows
  14. My 8770w runs pretty cool, was testing it out with some BF4 yesterday, and temps were in the 60-70 range, compared to my MSI laptop which had temps in the 80-95 range in BF4. And that's without repasting my 8770w and doing proper dust removal (Got me some NT-H2) Once I upgrade the GPU, temps will be higher, but from what I've heard, they should be in the low-mid 80s at most.
  15. I've used 7+ for like 9-10 years, so I'm kinda used to these features, except the abomination known as Aero shake. I also like shadows under icons, as it helps with reading icon text on a lighter background
  16. I'd recommend you go Z67 and a 3770K or X79 and an unlocked Ivy Bridge E3 1xxx series Xeon instead, because it has better USB 3.0 compatibility. Even though there are generic 3.0 drivers that work with Intel USB 3, there can sometimes be issues with the HCSwitch. Also IPC is virtually unchanged between the two. For a R9 GPU, yeah, it should work, but if it's a R9 3xx you'll be stuck with modded 15.100 drivers, unable to downgrade or upgrade. I'd recommend Nvidia, because drivers are better and the 980 Ti is a better performer.
  17. Seller is from China, and I don't even know if they even shipped it yet. I'm assuming it's being shipped since I ordered it over a week ago and got expedited shipping, but I never got a your order has shipped email.
  18. Try getting desktop 2060 drivers, and installing those. You might also have luck with the laptop specific .inf files shipped in the desktop drivers, in your laptop's case, you might have luck using the nvdmi.inf driver by manually installing the 2060 driver using it, if it exists in the .inf. If not, you can try nvdispi.inf
  19. I think VMProtect runs the game in a VM, to prevent cheating, but I could be wrong
  20. I was just saying that it was possible. I'd say more about my experiences with Vista, but there are a couple kinks with the extended kernel that I'd like to see be worked out before I commit to using Vista in 2021 (Or maybe even 2020) What I meant was this was porting taskbar pinning and the navigation pane to Vista, either with some modding of explorer.exe or even using a early 7 beta explorer.exe Also, another thing that I'd like in Vista is Aero Snap, but many programs have ported it, so I don't really need to ask
  21. What I meant by Vista audio drivers, is copying the audio driver files from Vista's %windir%\System32\drivers to 7's %windir%\system32\drivers
