New MSFN site appears broken on Win 9x
asdf2345 replied to Wunderbar98's topic in Site & Forum Issues
No delete button, so it's gonna be staying here -
That's quite old, Pale Moon hasn't been 38 based in years, Waterfox has two versions, one based off of 56, and one based off of 78. It's basically fearmongering about security.
-
I used to use Mozilla sync with Waterfox Classic, so it should work.

It just stays enabled on mobile -

I dislike the new position, so I've set uBlock Origin to block the flags entirely -
Software compatible with Windows Vista Extended Kernel

The theme could replace the window border, I've had some themes like that in the past. -
Software compatible with Windows Vista Extended Kernel
asdf2345 replied to WinClient5270's topic in Windows Vista
The dark theme must only be modifying the browser tabs, navigation bar, etc. Also Aero doesn't work if a program is maximized on Vista, also, some people might like running without the glass effects for more performance -
Waterfox Classic is 56 with some modifications that make it more compatible with newer websites, so it's worth trying.
-
Using Waterfox Classic right now, it's a bit slow, but legacy extensions work great
-
Did you install 16.1 vmx on 16.0?
-
I also came to the conclusion that 382.33 would be good to modify, but 382.33 has NVTelemetry, so anyone modding it would have to remove it
-
It's OpenGL, so the 1060 shouldn't be an issue here.

What I think about the new forum software and "revamped" UI
asdf2345 replied to asdf2345's topic in Site & Forum Issues
On another phone, MSFN crashes the browser and has a 50/50 chance of clearing the open tabs. Old UI never had this problem. -

What I think about the new forum software and "revamped" UI
asdf2345 replied to asdf2345's topic in Site & Forum Issues
Anyone can just grab a random email and make an account and message everyone. It's not that hard, especially if the process is able to be automated. This has nothing to do with forum software. -
I dislike the the new UI because I dislike the rounded nature of the new UI, the broken older browser compatibility, hidden edit button, and most of all, the trimmed email notifications. Even on mobile, I prefer the desktop UI over the new bottom control iOS copy UI. New Email Notifications (I use a dark theme): https://i.imgur.com/pRV4oo5.png Old Email Notifications: https://i.imgur.com/MYUJgbb.png I don't like it, and the biggest issue to me isn't even with the site itself, it's with the emails being cut off. Edit: Also, certain parts of the forum are much slower with the new UI and software.

My Browser Builds (Part 2)
asdf2345 replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Nobody asked for MSFN to downgrade to the latest Invision Community Software, the old software was objectively better, worked with older browsers, and now I'm really curious to see how IPS Default looked, because I never saw the option to switch to it before. -
We will miss IPS Default - the second theme
asdf2345 replied to schwups's topic in Site & Forum Issues
It's an objective downgrade on desktop, and on mobile I still prefer the old design. I had to switch my browser on mobile just to make this post because the other browser didn't load the text box. Also, email notifications get cut off, forcing me to visit the site if I want to read everything. -
How does it compare to 2.2.1?

You might need to tell 7-zip specifically to store the file in a .zip and not to compress it -

I've done omni.ja mods before using the method https://www.reddit.com/r/waterfox/comments/djtq91/i_fixed_the_userchromecss_issue_with_waterfox/ https://www.reddit.com/r/waterfox/comments/hd6tmo/i_saw_the_old_old_firefox_nightly_about_page_and/ -

It's a .zip with a fancy name, or at least that's how it is for modern Firefox -
Try uTorrent 2.2.1 or qBittorrent. I don't use any PDF readers, as every modern browser has one built in, and even Microsoft Office can work as one
-
You might be able to fork Classic Shell and add back Vista support and add XP support.
