  1. Are you sure that it's Xompie itself that wrecks it up instead of something else that might cause any incompatibility? The author of this project has been in this community for at least 10 years, so those are bold accusations. (also have you tested it on a clean profile before installing xompie? I'm not aware of anything that might mess with firefox or roytam's browsers). Also the source code is on github, so anybody can review it for any malware behavior, and so far nobody has said about it being malware. Have you used the latest master build (clone the repo, save as zip, launch the install cmd), whether this happens with that too? Remind you that Malware.Gen and other Artemis detections may happen to be false positives, so be sure that what you say is really true. I'll let these virustotal results be posted to research 'em (not just look at the summary results): https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/24f612ee3e13fdb5cd3273159e49a9072ae4cc330fb473e633224f19f5ce6d01/detection - Xompie 0.6a (23/69 = ~33%) https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/7505068ee4fe4a7d809b84271494201aa2b1c353ec302dfd58bfb743b104daac/detection - Xompie master build (zip clone repo from github) (19/64 = ~29-30%) I've scanned these files with Windows Defender/Security in Windows 10 1909 (18363.535) with latest definitions, and it hasn't detected anything.
  2. False positive. I'm pretty sure that if you scan the file in virustotal, the positives will significantly outweight the negatives.
  3. I and my friend know how to do it, it's just that GTX 10xx cards are hit-or-miss on XP, and that i was worrying about.
  4. Ahh, so that is to be expected. A friend of mine modded the latest drivers for the exact same card for XP installed on an asrock z170 pro4s mobo - same thing happened.
  5. fixed the versioning and correct ordering for ya.
  6. Isn't ahcix86.sys related to AMD's AHCI controller drivers (to be exact, the AHCI-compatible RAID drivers), thus not a native file from microsoft? Seems that you might had 'em slipstreamed b4
  7. We need some proof more than just a line of text. At best 2D acceleration would work if you're very lucky, because 3D acceleration won't work at all. Also make sure that the GTX 1060 is actually a real GTX 1060, not just a chinese ripoff, so make sure you provide the screenshot of the output of GPU-Z.
  8. @Arutz Tele https://www.win-raid.com/t4035f45-Windows-XP-Bit-and-Server-Bit-on-Modern-Hardware-148.html#msg87125
  9. I'm pretty much sure he just used his own modified universal usb3 drivers based on AMDXHCI, that was destined for XP (with acpi.sys mod).
  10. If you want the full 12 gigabytes, and acknowledging any stability issues that it may cause. You have to copy ntoskrnl.exe, ntkrnlpa.exe and hal.dll from the system32 folder in the windows install to the folder with the patcher, run "WINXPPAE /ALL" and overwrite the files. It is recommended to do that with a fully updated windows xp SP3 install. according to daniel_k: "You may test the files on a running system by replacing the files from another OS (otherwise File Protection will restore the files).", for ex. boot into a live cd and replace the original files in system32 (and in the DllCache folder, that's where the windows file protection restores files from) with the modified ones by the patcher.
  11. 32-bit: http://web.archive.org/web/20181026103325/https://downloadmirror.intel.com/20758/a08/GFX_Win7_32_8.15.10.2761.exe 64-bit: http://web.archive.org/web/20180202165350/https://downloadmirror.intel.com/20758/a08/GFX_Win7_64_8.15.10.2761.exe
  12. Here's a side advice for OP: In my opinion it is better for you to use this small patching utility called simply "WINXPPAE", made by daniel_k (same guy behind the modded creative drivers and behind the effort to get XP to run on modern systems by ACPI.sys modding). One is that compared to other PAE patches it manages to replicate the same PAE behavior (almost if not exact) like in Server 2003 (thus no need for the /PAE switch in boot.ini, since due to how it's patched properly ntoskrnl.exe automatically chainloads it's own PAE equivalent - ntkrnlpa.exe). Second is that it allows you not only to patch the files to enable PAE with unlimited RAM, but also to patch the files to enable PAE but with the 4GB limit (results: RAM should be mapped more efficiently, thus more RAM is available AND due to the 4GB limit it avoids stability issues). Recommend checking it out.
  13. offtopic, but heard that some funky things happen between Sword/Shield (seems that it happens in the eShop version) and how your SD card is formatted. If it's exFAT, expect some nasty data corruption in the card, though saves should be fine since it's saved in the internal memory (worst case scenario you would need to redownload games and other content that were in the SD card) https://www.gamesradar.com/pokemon-sword-and-shield-are-corrupting-micro-sd-cards-but-your-save-files-are-safe/
  14. Seems that ryanvm is down as of today, Accessing the site and the forum shows a 404 Not Found error. The "Down for Everyone or Just Me" service also reports the site as down. Hopefully this won't be the end.
  15. This acpi.sys driver is outdated iirc. It is best to use the modded acpi.sys made by daniel_k, which I've linked earlier.
  16. If my mind does tell me right - you could actually install Jetpack extensions in NM27 through the Moon Tester Tool extension. Download the XPI file for pushbullet, pipe it through MTT and hope that everything will work fine.
  17. The "Intel(R) 7 Series... Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller - 1E31" is the XHCI(USB3) controller, the device which you need to install the universal usb3 drivers for. Get the universal USB3 driver here: https://www.win-raid.com/t4035f45-Windows-XP-Bit-and-Server-Bit-on-Modern-Hardware-148.html#msg87125 (Based on AMDXHCI; PREREQUISITE: Latest x86 acpi.sys file from the same link; made by daniel_k). Right click on that device, select update, install from a list or specific location, search for best driver... include this location in search and direct it to the unpacked folder with the XHCI drivers. If this won't work, right click on that device, select update, install from a list or specific location, choose "don't search, i will choose a driver to install", use Have Disk method, browse to the folder with the unpacked files and choose the 'amdxhc.inf' file. Choose "Intel(R) USB3.1 eXtensible Host Controller"
  18. Try using a PE editor to change the subsystem version, PPEE for instance.
  19. Quick word of advice though - if you're going to utilise newer (say from 2010 above) hard drives + solid state drivers, it would be best not using XP's disk management tool when it comes to partitioning, formatting and alligning (especially when it comes to setup). Best to do with a GParted live medium for ex.
  20. True, but Kwasiarz has mentioned that his GPU only capable of DX10 and below, so.
  21. According to GrandAdmiralThrawn of xin.at, new builds support only DX11 due to upgrade of Unity engine to 2017.4.9f1: http://wp.xin.at/archives/4626#comment-161620
  22. Obvious thing, but make sure you set the language in about:config (useragent.locale value being 'ru') and restart.
  23. Try removing the ftp:// prefix, change .txt to .exe
  24. Make sure to also test the RC2 build that i gave (is slightly newer than what vistalover gave from official palemoon localisation archive site)
