  1. This is a security patch, not the runtime? But I found the DirectX 6 patch anyway. Carnivores runs on Windows NT 4.0 with it!!
  2. Yes, I installed this codec pack and video does not work. However, I found an alternative player that got MP4 to play on NT 4 after trying at least 20 different media players. Now, I'm just trying to find the lost DirectX 6 patch for Windows NT 4.0.
  3. Is there an MP4 player available for Windows NT? I've tried looking around but haven't had much luck. Even the TCPMP player doesn't run on Windows NT SP6a. Installing klite 2.73 changed ZoomPlayer 8.0 to go from invalid codecs to internal errors. Not sure if this is the fault of ZoomPlayer or the codecs.
  4. NTDLL.dll, msvcrt.dll, msvcr90.dll, msvcp90.dll, and msvcm90.dll
  5. I have no idea where to post this. I tried using Windows 2000 DLL's from BWC's Extended Kernel (latest version). It seems to have broken my Windows ME installation. A literal error stating Windows can't load explorer.exe and requires a reinstall. Booting into safe mode works. Can confirm the msvcrt.dll file does not work.
  6. You need Internet Explorer 6 while updating components. Tons of programs won't install without it.
  7. Can you share a screenshot? I am astonished if this is true!! I can't even find Windows XP or 7 drivers for generic bluetooth 5.0 dongles on ebay. Shall I provide a copy of my drivers?
  8. An Dell Insprion 3670 with an i3-8100. Both browsers require disabling loading inactive tabs, otherwise the computer slows to a halt. I had dozens of tabs open on twitter- a pretty heavy site considering all the media.
  9. Hello MSFN, I've attempted using Windows Vista/7 installations with a widely-available tweak to get the mentioned systems installed on unsupported hardware. However, the problem is this approach is still not fool-proof and does not work with a wide variety of hardware running low-end intel atoms or celerons. Has anybody tried using Windows 8/8.1's ACPI on Windows 7? If not, would a backport of the said driver be possible? Such has been accomplished with USB 3.0 and various drivers for even Windows XP. Thank you for your time.
  10. Hello, I recently purchased a UD-300M, BCM2070 Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR USB dongle for my Windows ME laptop but discovered the bundled CD does not include Windows 9x drivers. I am wondering if an older version of this driver exists to provide Windows 9x support.
  11. Anyone know of Bluetooth 5.0 drivers? The Bluetooth 5.0 dongles you can get off of ebay don't have Windows XP drivers and only work properly on like Windows Vista and 7 (with peripheral drivers). They don't work very well on Windows 8.1 or 10 either.
  12. I wonder if my 8.1 installation is missing an update then. It only crashes for me. In addition, I also found that the latest version of Midori and Waterfox work just fine. Though, I've found Midori to be most efficient and not freeze opposed to using Supermium and Waterfox. It's a lot lighter too. Qutebrowser 3.0.0 does not launch on Windows 8.1 and states it requires Windows 10 Build 1607 or later. Seeing this is a build from 2015, maybe 8.1 could run the browser if we bypass the installer?
  13. Can anyone check which version of Cool Reader 3 works on Windows Vista/7/8.1? I tried running it on my Windows 8.1, but it only crashed. https://sourceforge.net/projects/crengine/
  14. So no NT 4.0 compatibility? Got it! I appreciate your time.
  15. Would it be possible to test this program on Windows NT 4? I do not have a machine on me. https://sourceforge.net/projects/keynote-newfeat/
  16. Back. The computer works more swift with Windows 8.1 than Windows 10, but I am having one issue: my earphones don't have their own volume. I will check if any other sound drivers are available and update.
  17. I'm in a similar position as you. Unfortunately, I couldn't even get a modified Windows 7 w/ an updated ACPI.sys, USB 3.0 drivers, and various components to work on Bay Trail. But, given your device is based off of an Ivy Bridge, there may be hope. Your best bet is to try SDI Origin or any driverpack. Feel free to share the hardware IDs of your device- sometimes, you could find a driver for said device. I've personally given my AIO Dell Inspiron Windows 8.1 for the time-being. Linux was sluggish on the device.
  18. Thank you! It turns out DeathBringer's modified INF + drivers did the trick here. I had to disable driver signature enforcement and thing works like a charm on my Dell Inspiron 3670. ^o^
  19. Hello MSFN, I possess a Dell Inspiron 3670 with an i3-8100 CPU, but am having one last issue with this desktop: a display driver. My hardware is entirely supported and my resolution is good, but I am stuck with the generic Microsoft driver for display. Is there a Windows 8.1 driver in existence or would attempting to spoof the OS version make any difference? If not, is there a good generic universal driver that could take the place of this driver? I do not need the desktop for heavy 3D activities- just basic streaming and word processing. Thank you for your time.
  20. Ah, thank you for the clarification- I must've missed it.
  21. Apparently, Firefox (a build from 7 months ago, as seen in this video's post date) works on Windows Vista when spoofed as Windows 7: Anyone got a clue which version this is and a program to ensure spoofing of Windows Vista's version? Vista version build 6002 was used.
  22. Do these drivers support 3D acceleration by chance?
  23. Hello MSFN, I recently ordered 2 different IDE to USB adapters, and I am wondering if anyone has any luck with these. I got a powdered inateck brand and a generic adapter. At first, it seemed the hard drives would show up but it began to stop. The inateck one only read the IDE drive after a while if it was forced into a certain position with the hard drive physically. I should also mention the 2 IDE hard drives tested with the devices have somewhat crooked pins. I'm not sure if that alone is the culprit because I tested another non-crooked drive on the devices without success. Is this just plain bad luck on my part or has anyone else been having bad luck with these adapters?
  24. Hello MSFN, I have a laptop, an Acer Nitro 5. This laptop came with a GTX 1050 but stablediffusion does not find a compatible GPU with the program. I find this quite irritating because almost 1000 USD was spent to obtain this device a few years back. If there are any known workarounds or suggestions, please discuss! Thank you!
  25. Yes. I am hoping to make my old Windows ME laptop useful Applications like PhotoMix are what I am searching for.
