  1. Here it is. When You are on Zippyshare, press "Download now" link once, then close pop-up window(s), then press "Download now" link once more.
  2. Dave, I believe it can take few weeks (up to month) until this mechanism will be involved and all XP/Vista users will really be automatically transferred to the FF 52.x ESR. But You can manually update FF at any time.
  3. Look: all NPAPI plug-ins are disabled by default in regular FF 52.0 unlike 52.0 ESR. Many Windows XP users kept outdated plug-ins/extensions (including Adobe Acrobat PDF, Microsoft Office Live Plugin for FF, Microsoft DRM, RealPlayer/QuickTime plugins, Windows Media Player DLL Plug-in, Windows Presentation Foundation plug-in and so on). It seems that besides carrying a potential security threat few of them are also became incompatible with latest version. It's better to disable them anyway, isn't it?
  4. About false memory leak reports with FireFox 52.0 ESR under Windows XP: please type 'about:addons' in address bar then press Enter (select Plugins tab on the left if not selected). Please disable all plugins except 1. Videocodec OpenH264 by Cisco Systems, Inc. 1.6 2. Adobe Primetime Content Decription Module by Adobe Systems, Incorporated 17 (It's our everything) 3. Shockwave Flash 24.0.0.211 (more known as Adobe Flash Player Plugin 24.0.0.211) 4. Silverlight Plug-In 5.1.50901.0 All other plugins and unverified extensions may (and probably will) cause a memory leak. P.S. By the way, memory leak can cause 'Generic host process for Win32' errors [svchost.exe stops responding because of insufficient memory...]
  5. Mr.Presario, sorry, but this tweak works for everyone. If it does not work for You then following options are available: 1. You have incompatible system (Windows XP w/SP2 or Windows XP x64 [Windows Server 2003 x64], for example). 2. You still have one of the following incompatible registry tweaks: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WindowsEmbedded HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\WEPOS HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\WES Remember, it is impossible to remove these keys from Your (already booted) operating system. You should boot from Live CD with WinPE or ERD commander CD (or another OS installed on your computer if present) and use external registry editor (like erdregedit) to finally remove them.
  6. Schannel update with AES 256 support: http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2015/10/windowsxp-kb3081320-x86-embedded-enu_d8e991e08445605d85c48425684c7850d1d63a36.exe P.S. Latest Internet Explorer 8 cumulative security update, by the way (both updates require POSReady 2009 registry tweak to install on Windows XP SP3 ENU) http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/secu/2016/11/ie8-windowsxp-kb3203621-x86-embedded-enu_4bb8d54d9e0509e9dc96426f9c27e8d984b49df9.exe
  7. Firefox 51.0 has been withdrawn and quickly replaced with Firefox 51.0.1. Looks like some critical bug has been found. Here's the possible cause of delaying autoupdates. Update: Firefox 51.0.1 was withdrawn also. Sh*t happens...
  8. Do not worry, usually Firefox automatically updates itself within a few days after release.
  9. Current release of Firefox is 51.0. I can confirm that it does work fine with Firefox 52.0 Beta-1 on Windows XP SP3 too ! After upgrading my Firefox to 52.0b1 I was forced to re-create 'media.gmp-eme-adobe.enabled' (true) and 'media.gmp-eme-adobe.visible' (true) boolean variables in about:config. Then I restarted my browser and Adobe Primetime PCD got enabled again and MP4 (H.264 + AAC) HTML5 video worked! Voila!
  10. UAA driver is already integrated in official release of Windows XP SP3 .

Latest XP-compatible version of KB890830 is 5.39 from August 2016.
  12. New Silverlight update for Windows XP this month http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/ftpk/2016/09/silverlight_6e7c5e763ec6dba646adec4a0bcbd88059750658.exe
  13. ...Microsoft officially ended support of Windows XP on April 8, 2014. But, as we all know, Windows XP (Embedded) is still supported and will be supported by two more years after the end of Windows Vista support. Until current version (11.0.17) all previous updates of Adobe Reader XI are worked fine on XP (without any error messages). Therefore, there are two options: Adobe was intentionally ruined XP compatibility or mistakenly.
  14. Adobe Reader 11.0.16 (MUI/any specific language version) is known to be working fine under Windows XP SP3. But after updating to version 11.0.17 and starting the program for the first time there is an error message pops up complaining "Font Capture: AcroRd32.exe - Entry point not found" with additional info "The procedure entry point InitializeCriticalSectionEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll". As far as I know, InitializeCriticalSectionEx kernel entry point doesn't exist in XP kernel (it's a subject of Windows Vista and later). I can't confirm this behavior on 100% of the XP running systems so it's just a warning currently. Waiting for more info... Feel free to post anything related.

  16. If I remembered correctly, in late 2013 few of my XP systems ran windows update check for about 3 hours every month at the time of patch Tuesday. Moreover, newly installed Windows 7 Pro x64 system performed update check for about 7 hours. Unfortunately for Microsoft it can be considered as "normal behavior"... :-(
  17. New Silverlight update for Windows XP SP3 http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/ftpk/2016/06/silverlight_da10804aa6241288382bf860211d7de591b4aed0.exe
  18. If You mean XP SP3 x86 (32-bit) in comparison with the XP SP2 x64 (64-bit) then it is impossible. These are completely different operating systems: XP SP3 x86 is NT5.1 (XP kernel) while XP SP2 x64 is NT5.2 (Windows Server 2003 x64 kernel). You should perform a full reinstall.
  19. Proper (and complete) list of updates released June 14: Windows: KB890830 (Malicious software removal tool v5.37), KB3160005 (IE8 cumulative update), KB3161561, KB3161664, KB3161949, KB3162835, KB3164033, KB3164035 (8 total). Office 2007 Compatibility Pack Service Pack 3: KB3115111, KB3115194. Grand total: 10 updates.
  20. Another .NET Framwework 4 security update today! http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/secu/2016/03/NDP40-KB3142029-X86_78EC90FDF9239C367F154A347CF026A1C27F3E9A.exe
  21. Just a few facts (in the context of questions asked here): MSE 4.5 is a nagware (so it is recommended to roll back to 4.4). Microsoft always lying (intimidating XP users and forcing them upgrading their computers and installing Windows 10 at any cost).
  22. @Raupinator MSE update is working again. KB890830 has no relation to this issue. @JodyT WindowsXP-KB2584577-v0.4-x86-ENU.exe is an unofficial update done by blackwingcat. It replaces system kernel and adds few dll files from Vista and thereby allowing execution of *.exe files designed for NT 5.2 and later on XP.
  23. @Dave-H You are late. You should download template file before Chrome 50 release for this group policy to appear (that is the tamplate should be downloaded from April 6 and before April 13).
  24. @JorgeA There are at least 2 automatic solutions posted here. 1. heinoganda's automatic script (see readme file included with it). 2. Kernel modification by blackwingcat allowing using automatic updates again (but correcting system kernel with adding necessary dll's from Vista).
