Linux is the operating system for developers only, not for ordinary consumers. It is not user-friendly, the interface is just terrible, have many problems with application compatibility, does not have a normal Office package and so on. Windows XP, as all we know, is still 3-rd most popular operating system in the world after Windows 7 and 10 while Linux occupies only the sixth position, barely overstepping the statistical error. This is correct. There are exact same versions on my system. But Office 2003 (which is installed on my system) uses different dlls with same names: gdiplus.dll (in \Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\ folder) file is version 11.0.8443.0 usp10.dll (in \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE11\ folder) file is version 1.626.6002.24173 P.S. By the way, Office XP should use files with same names in similar folders (OFFICE11->OFFICE10) but support of Office XP has ended in July 2011 and I believe that there were no more updates for Office XP after that date.

Yes, these updates can be (and should be because they fix critical vulnerabilities) installed on any system with Office 2003 regardless of x64 or x86 type of operating system. P.S. By the way Office 2003 is a native 32-bit application so all updates for Office 2003 are 32-bit only. But it is perfectly fine to install it on 64-bit OS because all 32-bit applications should work on it without problems. Only native 16-bit applications will not work on 64-bit OS, You need to use 32-bit OS to run them.

By the way, updates for Word Viewer (not intended for full Office 2003) have different file names, for example, office-KB3191909-FullFile-ENU.exe (without 2003) while this update called office2003-KB3203427-FullFile-ENU.exe).

Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility pack and Microsoft Office 2007 (any edition) share some common resources, like mso.dll (KB3203436), ogl.dll (KB3191828) and Wordcnv.dll (KB3203438). But PPCNV.DLL (KB3127894) is only used in the Office 2007 Compatible Pack. It looks like You have some incompatible addon/extension in Your Firefox. Such behavior is typical for AdBlock Plus/uBlock Origin for example. Try disabling addons/extensions one-by-one and You'll eventually find the culprit. By the way, the latest working release of AdBlock Plus, compatible with Windows XP and Firefox 52.2.0 ESR is 2.8.2.

This is absolutely normal behavior nowadays. Before searching for updates: 1. If You have Office 2003 download and install manually KB3203427 and KB3203484 (see my list earlier in this topic). 2. Same for Office 2007 compatibility pack: You should install KB3127894, KB3191828, KB3203436 and KB3203438. 3. And finally, if You have IE8, You should install KB4021558. After that, restart Your system and perform search for updates again. The list should appear after a few minutes.
