dude the guys is an id***. the processor just runs at a lower wattage meaning that it uses less power and creates less heat. that's all. your are completely right about the socket being what matters. that is a great cpu to get and it overclocks very well. go for it!

well do you use ie6 and wmp9/10? at first i hated office 2007 but after using it for a while i found it to be alot more user friendly, which was microsoft's goal for it. vista is actually faster when using windows explorer, for me at least. same here, no bsod's

i'm not.. that's how i used to think until i actually installed vista. it is my main OS now and i definatly like it over xp.

have you tried different brands of blank dvds? sometimes certain burners won't work with certain brands..

well im guessing he's using the xp burning program... which is complete crap. nero would at least say something about the disk.
