Sorry but I'm new to web design, so instead of slide comments, how about how i can go about fixing them? im not trying to be rude at all. instead of using attributes like bgcolor or tags like underline/bold, you will have to use CSS.

ya i really wouldnt recommend messing too much with vista's services. soo many times i had to figure out which services i disabled... sometimes i couldnt find a solution. only if vista didnt use soo much ram..

dont bother with RAID, you really don't need it. have you decided on AMD, have you look at Intel's Core 2 Duo at all? Intel's Core 2 Quad will be very cheap in a month anyways, the only thing that i would change would be the sound card. there is a new sound card that creative and auzentech are making, the Auzen X-FI Prelude, http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/x-fi_prelude.php this card will own! but go for the x-fi if you want something cheap..

did you read my post? i tried that... there must be a service that was disabled that wouldnt allow me to do this. i reinstalled vista anyways, i thought that it was about time to do it, i had so much junk in there. i also got rid of my dual boot w/ xp.

sorry, it was apparently the latest realtek sound driver for vista.

ya but apparently his doesnt slow down.. very strange. are the fans connected to the motherboard? if so then there are options in the BIOS under "pc health" or something similar where you can set fan speeds.

during the first few seconds of startup it should be at a high speed but should then slow down... yours doesnt slow down at all?

does anyone know what services are required for network descovery to work? i am trying to enable network descovery but if i click "on", then it will just go to "off".
