  1. Noticed your comment on JS, and I gotta say, it's just not true! JavaScript has many great uses in web programming today. Web 2.0 (as people call it) is highly dependent on JS. JS can be used to make sure people filled out a form properly before it gets sent to the server. JS can be used to create great gallery setups, like with Lightbox JS (wicked script by the way). And that's just scratching the surface... If you want more proof, just look at the source for this page. You'll see TONS of JavaScript. Every time you see one of those "pop-over" windows with some information - that's JS. Quick edits - JS. Drop down menus - JS (as far as I know - other systems use JS for menus). JavaScript isn't necessary for a webpage, but it can make the page a lot better when used correctly. im not saying that javascrupt is bad, i just dont use. as i said you really dont need it, it is more of a luxary IMO. such as checking the forms client-side instead of server-side. and yes that picture thing looks amazing, but again it's a luxary. you really don't need it.
  2. no they dont. they tell me that i dont need them b/c vista already has them.
  3. the exhaust out the back are definatly the best, arctic cooling makes good ones.
  4. exactly. i refuse to use frames. i have finally learned to stay away from tables. and i stay away from flash and javascript as much as i possibly can, there is no real need for it.

  6. so is it set up? i really wna know how good it is b/c i am most likely going to get this one.
  7. oh come on, i was hoping someone would put fart FARE
  8. the 520hx is a great psu, im about to get the 620hx. if you dont wna pay that much then get a seasonic s12
  9. got up to 91F today thank god for air conditioning!
  10. well if you order online its all random for the 226BW models. and now the only way to check the model is to open up the lcd casing.. samsung took out all methods of finding the panel version. i would just wait for the 226CW. it is at best buy right now so if you want to pay a little more and get it there, then do it. http://www.samsung.com/ca/products/monitor...22mexsfvxaa.asp the main difference is the Wide Color Gamut (CCFL 97%) it will also be a samsung panel
  11. depends. summer time i leave it on most of the day, shut it off at night. during the school year it on for a few hours a night.
  12. so im an id*** again, i took out all the printer drivers but the ones i needed and a week later we get a new printer.. how can i go about getting the driver for this new printer?
  13. well if you are going 22" then get the 226CW, best buy has it and it should be at online stores any day now.
  14. get the 640Mb to be safe. with the 320MB some games will work fine, but those newer games will lag on you. i can definatly tell a difference between my 8800gts 320MB and my friends 8800gts 640MB and we both have 19" monitors.
  15. i am looking into getting a 22" samsung right now also. i wanted to get the 226bw but there are some issues with it due many panels not being made by samsung. luckily the 226cw is just coming out right now, it should be in online stores within a couple of weeks. 16. just wondering, what happens when you press the power button to start it up again? also try updating your BIOS. it sounds like windows isnt communicating with the BIOS correctly. do the fans ever turn off, after an hr or anything?
  17. my dads comp did this when i installed xp (no SP) on it. then i installed SP2 and it didnt give that message anymore.. very strange. try updating every driver that you can, expecially your mobo drivers.
  18. that comp is going to rock. but you do need a 64bit OS. you may want to get an 8800gtx, not ultra. not too much of a difference in performance. that monitor is also very expensive.. why not get something cheaper? you can get some excellent 24" lcds for under 350$. for the mobo, that gigabyte is a good one and so is the ABIT IP35 Pro, take a look at it if you want to. with the money you save on the video card and monitor you could invest in some nice water cooling if you really want to. the Q6600 and 8800gts get really hot and water helps alot. or you could just pocket the money if you dont want to go water then you really need to get a high quality heatsink for the Q6600, as i've already said it can get really hot. edit:wow i did not realize that the monitor you picked out is 1920 x 1200! i would still recommend getting the 8800gtx tho, and just overclock it if needed.
  19. so did this start happening when it froze or has it been going on for a long time? in your BIOS do you have any autostart options on?
  20. this is exactly what he is talking about. Messerschmitt-no matter what some space used up. you have ~440GB and that is plenty enough, 82mb isnt that much.
