  1. so what exactly makes this better than the free version?
  2. have you checked in the BIOS yet?
  3. im asking if the fan is attached to the mobo, or to the psu. not looking for a particular location on the mobo.

  5. does cpuz tell if its ecc or not?
  6. ive never seen the Kandalf LCS before.. for the price that is amazing! the components are about average, nothing special, but again, the price! you will still ned to get a gfx card block tho. its funny how they have a triple rad with only one block..
  7. oops, put the wrong kit down. this is the same thing plus a gfx card heatsink! http://www.petrastechshop.com/pecogpuel.html
  8. zxian - ya i wish i had the p182, but i only have the original p180, they have made soo many impovements! i want to go water with the next computer i get, hopefully sometime this year. brando - what case are you looking at? the Thermaltake Tai Chi? im seeing it for ~400$ w/ water. the water cooling components that is uses isnt that good. the petratech kit is AMAZING. most kits suck but petra but together a kit of the best of the best. what gfx card do you have? that is high for idle. my 7800gt doesnt even reach that at load. i also have a nice heatsink on that. for the cpu, i have a scythe ninja keeping my proc around 30C idle, its about 40$. there are better heatsink but they are about 60$ with only a few degrees difference. you hdds are high also, only thing to do for them is to get air going by them. i have a fan in front of mine and they stay below 30C. the northbridges can take alot of heat so i wouldnt worry about it too mcuh for the mobo, just get air going onto it, thats about it.
  9. lets go by celsius. 130F=54C, now for idle that is really high. 90F=32C, which is perfect for idle, my proc runs ~30C idle. if your proc ever gets above 60C, i would be very worried. if you really want to overclock then get a better heatsink, your current one is crap. looking at that everest report, if those are all idle temps, then they are fairly high. you really need to get that second fan... you're thinking of the thermaltake case, don't do it. just get a nice case with enough room to put in a good watercooling system. this here is an excellent watercooling kit. http://www.petrastechshop.com/pecoel.html
  10. so who know alot about php sessions? i kind of have them working right now. but what should i be checking for? like what data should i save in the sessions considering that ppl will be logginning in with a username+password?
  11. its all about money. do you have enough money to get this started and to support youself in case it failed? if not then go in with some other people.
  12. ya i just reinstalled vista, i have ~50 services going.. that's just insane!
  13. 3gigs just sounds awkward, go for 4. you can get some 4 gig sets for under 250$
  14. well for cad and photo editing it would be a GREAT monitor. HD stuff would also look amazing. of course you wouldnt be getting an 8800, you would need to get two of them for this monitor i really want to get a monitor this big for website coding, it would definatly help alot.
  15. that would be a better idea. exhaust all of the hot air to through the air conditioner! the room will be nice and cold then, you wont even have to run a host putting cold air into the case.
  16. happy 22nd jeremy
  17. hmm, i guess everything was in that first post. it was an amazing OS too! ill have to talk to Aegis about it, i doubt that he has the time for it tho.
  18. so this happens between the bios screen and the windows loading screen?
  19. do you know why this happens tho? and is there no way to get around it? its not like i need it tho, it's just convenient to have. btw, great work on vlite so far, hopefully you are able to make it as good or better than nlite
  20. http://www.msfn.org/board/How_to_Windows_X...ion_t62098.html this was a great project while it latest. me and aegis were able to get an extremely small version of xp. it was such a pain to get things working but we eventually did! you can read through it to see what we did, the project has stopped tho.
  21. that doesnt work, it doesnt work with FF either. check google and you can see hundreds of threads that state that. try making an html file and see what it opens with..
  22. well i mean that certain brands of ram may not work well with certain brands of motherboards. so each stick works fine by itself? what if you only use the 2 new sticks?
  23. well thats the only difference here, overclocking. most people dont overclock and if they do, its not to the max that the processor can go. if you take both processors at idle, the quad will win. when overclocked, the dual core. so i guess it all depends on how far people want to overclock.
  24. its a great monitor, the specs are just nothing but amazing! but it does cost ALOT. why exactly do you want a monitor that big tho? i would recommend get a large monitor unless there is a purpose. maybe get a 22 inch? that will be alot cheaper and still large.
  25. bad ram, incompatible ram, incompatible ram configuration. try each stick by itself
