like i said im gunna try the boot disks but it will be tomorrow, im encoding stuff right now so i cant rly do it. how would safe mode make it any different tho? ill give it a try before those boot disks tho.

i actually just installed it for this job b/c i did a clean install a few days ago ill also give those boot/recovery disks a try, ive used it before and hopefully it will allow me to do it

well it sound like ur mobo only supports 384mb of ram, u prolly have 3 slots but i dont see why ur mobo will allow a 512mb stick to work. let us know what the mobo is.

ya ur right. ive done a few of them and usually end up with 300-350 for a pretty good gaming comp, just try to make a good gaming comp on the calc, make it amd with a 6800 and all of the regular peripherals. you would never even get a 400watt psu for a comp like that although the calc says thats plenty

u can disable the parallel port, its the same as the printer port right? just go into the device manager and open up ports

i have 2.2 gigs free on my c: drive and i want to make it a gig smaller but when i do that in part magic and then it restarts to do it, it does nothing, the part magic screen comes up and says press any key to abort it from doing its job and after that it just boots into windows and doesnt partition c: any idea why its being gay?

ya, do that, when u need to boot from the cd to do it. just backup all of ur files first
