who said anything about a monitor requiring sli, unlees u gto confused with him saying 1900 resoulution, u can change the resolution of ur monitor but with a crappy vid card the larger resolutions dont look right but if u had 780gt's in sli then it looks amazing. the mushkin redline does come with heatspreaders but they got rly hot so u need a fan

its mainly the layout of the program/visual style, it make the program look cheesy but im going to have to give it a while

the best overclocking ram is the mushkin redline 4000, just make sure that u have a fan on them

ur blaming technology, use technology and get raid1

actually sli is going away, but will be replaced by sli2. and the g71 and the r520 are suppose to be dual slot(not too sure what that means) yes almost no one can afford sli and it hasnt even reached its full potential, hence sli2, but if u are a hardcore gamer then thats what its for

what do u mean by average user, i dont/cant overclock mt laptop's gpu but i use omega b/c its the only way that i can update my driver

acutally u were right about getting rid of it, i disabled it but it did nothing so i uninstalled it and it gave be alot of time back im now using nod32 after reading alot of posts but i dont rly like it

only refill them once then replace it, this is b/c on the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out, the plastic kinda deteriorates and u dont get as clear of pictures, u can get smudges

@atomizer- i already said that i disabled all programs, and what AV do u recommend, ive been thinking of gettng rid of norton and maybe getting macafee but i just did bootvis, dload the file(msfn wont let me upload it b/c it has the extension .bin) and open it with bootvis, then check the unchecked boxes on the left to see more stuff http://frontiernet.net/~unholyknights/bootvis.bin

the omega drivers are the best out for ati, they have pretty good tweaking and overclocking stuff too heres the latest driver http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php

there cant be any pros over the regular version, ive never heard of a student version OS, only for office

i got the compressed air today and i sprayed away, also used a vaccum cleaner and that helped too, according to speed fan my idle temps are around 45-47, and that seems high to all of u but this is a laptop, and before i cleaned it my idle temps were 54-56, so thats a considerable amount. now back to the startup, i am not allowing any programs to start up, this only took like 5 sec off and im still waiting over 20 sec.

none of them, ati is full of s*** b/c they say that they dont support laptop graphics cards and that u need to get it from ur manufacturer get an omega driver, they are the best out for ati drivers

i know how to make an icon package in winstyler, but can u only use that package if u have winstlyer? b/c i want to send them to a friend but he doesnt know how to use it.
