  1. I prefer not to be hobbled by turning it off. If I want to run a modern app, I want to run a modern app. I don't want to be told I can't do so. Turning UAC completely off renders my entire OS completely useless. If you want to be really hobbled go to OSX or Linux, where every operation requires a user password.
  2. There seems to be, UAC with the bar down, is just NOT NOTIFY. Completely off is OFF. But, with the bar down, since I don't get notifications, so far as I can tell it is OFF for me, but everything still WORKS. With it is turned totally off with registry, I am LIMITED in what I can do with the OS. I choose NOT to be limited.
  3. Modern Apps work just fine set with the slider bar set all the way down. But if you turn it completely off with registry edit you are f***ed!
  4. No, no real color customization, although by changing NoelC's theme atlas you can change the colors of the borders.
  5. Installed v1.3.1, then replaced with 10074 debug. Did not use license. Used NoelC's theme atlas found here http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/173379-windows-10/?p=1100461 and used aerogui to inject it. Not aeroglass per se but makes better borders.
  6. I updated to build 10135 (OSBA untouched,) and everything works same as 10130 Aeroglass-wise!
  7. Of course a WZor multi-language build of 10135 has now been leaked!
  8. I updated to build 10134, and everything works same as 10130 Aeroglass-wise!
  9. Every time Microsoft releases a new operating system people complain how it is the worst thing in the whole world, and that everyone who works at Microsoft is an id***, and no one should ever upgrade again. This was even said about Windows XP! I heard it every day. XP breaks your computer, XP does this, XP does that! This is a never-ending litany. Actually the only OS they ever put out that I skipped completely was Windows 95, what a POS!!! LOL. But, then again, I know my operating systems. While everyone was complaining about Windows Millenium, me, and my fellow computer enthusiasts were lauding it! It was fantastic, XP never gave me any problems, and Vista (after its service packs) was fine. Windows 7 is still good, but this is 2015, and we have new technology, and new ideas, and it is time to move on to bigger, and better things. My Windows 10 is blazing fast! On this very same computer, if I were to dual boot 7, I could go pour a cup of coffee, and take a dump while I wait for it to load up.
  10. Yea, I remember when the Aero effect was standard. That was Windows 7 which (thankfully) I haven't used in years. I am willing to wait patiently for BigMuscle to work his magic grateful in the fact that I am using an OS that is head-and-shoulders above the rest. IMHO! lol
  11. I didn't realize that this was a "I Woke Up on the Wrong Side of the Bed So I Think I Will Cr@p All Over Windows 10" forum.
  12. I disabled Defender the same way I always do. It is in gpedit.msc in the very same place it always has been. I am sure local account will be possible in final build, but you have to ask yourself "Why would I do that?" given all the added benefits of an MS account.
  13. Well now build 10125 is out, and I am downloading it. I do not expect AeroGlass to work on it, but we will see shortly.
  14. Yea, that is what happened with me, too. I had to uninstall it.
  15. I did, but I don't normally download files from unknown sources, although it's likely fine. There are neither known, nor unknown sources. There are just sources.
  16. I just install the one for 8.1 w/o the shiny theme (both boxes not checked,) then I go into task manager, the details tab, stop aerohost.exe, and dwm.exe. I then copy over the debug files. Then restart.
  17. I used NO add-on software to get This PC on Windows 10 build 10074 to look like this except for bigmuscles' AeroGlass, which is not necessary except for the borders, and a Drive Icon changer for the DVD drive icon. Other than that, all is done with registry tweaks. My OS seems to be running incredibly faster with these modifications, also!
  18. It is dark if you do this mod -- Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize] "SystemUsesLightTheme"=dword:00000000
  19. I edit the WinX menu to create shortcuts to specific folders I wish to open in My PC.
  20. Windows pro insider preview build 10074, Experimental debug version for build 10074: 64-bit (Updated on 30th April 2015) Experimental debug DLL to remove grey titlebar on windowed modern app: 64-bit (Updated on 29th April 2015 - added support for build 10061) have a donation key but I don't use it. When open spartan I can see for a splitt sec a tranculen tillebar and the text "Project Spartan" as on my "twitter pic" above - then it thakes the gray color and look, and no buttons to the right..... Yea, that is what I get. I thought you had the transparent titlebar consistently.
  21. Which Windows build are you using, and which version of Aeroglass, ModernFrame.dll, do you have donation.key, etc?
