Not at the moment. Although it does work on The Weather Channel App consistently for some apps it doesn't work at all, and for others just one time.

Sure hold down the control key while you click the maximize button. Are you sure you have the right modernframe.dll. You quoted a really ancient post. Make sure you have the current one downloaded, and in your aeroglass folder. It could be the game, also. Try different apps to see if it works on one, and not on others. This is all experimental, you know!

Aeroglass in the Modern App Twitter starts out normally, but immediately when the app has finished loading it turns solid, and all buttons disappear. Notice the difference between The Weather Channel Modern App, and the Twitter Modern App.

Has anyone found a better solution? It‘d be great if there would be something that wouldn‘t need to stay on the taskbar and make it flicker when reverting accent settings. No better solution I have found. I have created a 2nd desktop, press the window key and tab key, right click that cmd window, and send it to 2nd desktop where I don't have to look at it.

Well if you go to bm's download page at the bottom there is "Command line tool to change window's composition attributes." You can enable taskbar blur that way.

It appears as if you need to take ownership, and change permissions.

I would upgrade over top of your OS, then you can get her back! This is just Cortana's way of saying how much she misses you!

In my opinion, a firewall by default, should allow all the programs I have installed on my computer to communicate to the internet. It would just be too much hassle to set this up on my own. What I think a firewall should do is prevent rogue communications from the outside to get in by default. I certainly do not wish to be forced to allow programs access that should automatically have access. This would turn using a computer from a joy to a really huge pain. Also, I have very rarely changed any firewall settings except to not allow access to a certain program that I am testing that I might have activated surreptitiously.

I would not know about secure boot, since I am on a MB with just BIOS.

I'll also try to "skip" .layout scheme I'll look at the oldnewexplorer too (it'll disable ribbon, it is?). I used it a long time ago - on win 8, but then I rollback to 7. (But honestly I never liked the command bar) At the time I also used a .dll hack (with resource hacker) to hide/disable (not recommended) the command bar WITH classic shell enabled, resembling the explorer look of xp (but with more customizations). The titlebar issue in explorer I posted above, seems be caused by ribbon: while I was testing, the network connections page - that doesn't use ribbon but command bar - was correctly rendered with no "glitches". I looked in the Details tab in Task Manager, and I noticed that when I install AeroGlass the "normal" way that both aerohost.exe, and dwm.exe are running, but if dwm.exe is injected in AppInit_DLLs then just dwm.exe is running. My question BigMuscle is "what is the difference?" What does aerohost.exe do, and why does everything seemingly behave the same when it is not running?

I would like to know If this is normal At this stage of development or if I forget something ? I must admit that I don't understand this. Why non-advanced users bother with non-finished development version if they are not even able to read instructions, guide, notes etc. before downloading? What is the sense in using installer on Win10 if it is marked as "IMPORTANT: Do NOT use on Windows 10 RTM 10.0.10240." ???? And it is not only this... why some users are injecting DWMGlass.dll via old AppInit_DLLs on Win10 when nobody says it to do it so? Why? .... I'm asking because every while I get some bug reports where the only cause it that user was not able to install it correctly. So again for everyone: !!! IF YOU ARE NOT ADVANCED USERS AND YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO INSTALL THE DEBUG VERSION PROPERLY THEN DO NOT USE IT !!! Here is what I use to inject AeroGlass. Now it all makes sense. Does MS pay you well? I don't get paid LOL. I just use Windows 10 to its fullest potential, why don't you?

I have been using Windows 10 as my main drive for quite a while now. It just seems to get better, and better. I really enjoy the live tiles, and especially Cortana. It is very easy to use her, and I set her to search with Google instead of Bing, so life is good. All the apps I have tried seem to be very well written, and I do use a few apps. I like the Weather Channel, and Twitter apps especially. My OneDrive works very nicely, and I don't have to worry about my important files getting lost due to some sort of computer failure. Windows Updates works great, too. It seems much more reliable than especially Windows 7. Remember in Windows 7 it would show 0% for a long time? In Windows 10 it seems as if they are always ready to install! It is a very nice, and smooth OS. There is plenty to enjoy about it. It is very good that Microsoft is tying it into the Cloud more, and more. Welcome the future!

CuteFtp crashes immediately upon starting with ONE.

Wouldn't have done any good since my carrier just upgraded all its speeds across the board.

If you have any concern about your privacy, you better make a reinstall and DO NOT use express settings, go one by one selecting your preferences. I have reviewed all the settings in custom, and found that the express settings are very well suited for my needs. I also know there is not a roomful of Microsoft employees studying my every move.

I disregard all the tinfoil hat experts. I have aeroglass installed, and a mean theme. I love it. It is getting better every day.
