Canada is TV prime for the western world and gets government supported funding for it's animation. Superman is animated and released to Britain before USA. This is why Canada has strict internet policies with copyrighted material. Remember Nude-News, and Nude-Cooking? All from Canada. I also suspect them to be the people who makes those extra cheap DAD B-movies you can find in Comic book stores as well.

ME graphics and sounds, but going further back, things seems decent enough. 98 is always a crowd pleaser, because it had all those themes. Of course 95 had Bob fedora GUI, which came in various HP or Compaq ( I forget which one ) machines. I remember those days when using the 95 machines felt like using the OSX machines, and was a magical experience. Windows XP was probably the most terrible in your face GUI, but it is more sustainable then Vista with the right tweaks. What I really would like to know who are the people who worked on most of the icons. Windows 7, 8, etc all feel lost.

From what I understand, 2005 is the last release to support normal ".exe" compiling, is that true? Every other release afterwards will not?

Photoshop and implicit sharpening on resampling
ROTS replied to j7n's topic in Graphics and Designing Art
I don't know what you are talking about OP? I have photoshop, and making the image smaller should have no impact. on it. 1. if you are using a raster image ( BMP, PCX ( if that is what it is called again ?? ) ) then the file will pixilize/pixelate on that account your image PPi/DPi is small and tiny. Meaning your resolution of the original image is too small?? Photoshop is meant for working with huge giant images. One of the flaws of early photoshop programs ( especially the windows 9x ), is the problem with resizing, and rotating. All the OS9/OSX versions should have fixed this with CS1 release. PS is now in its CS9 model ( the dreadful intel cloud model ), but everything from CS2 should be reasonable on this. When you make an image smaller it should look like the bigger image, from a distance, and since your still working with the raw data, you should be able to make it big again. In fact you can make images big to a certain point. I would attempt to use Irfanview as well in the past, but the creator does not add these features, and if he did, it would be working around Adobes programming, which is not universal. Your PSD and PNG files might appear clear in certain browsers and desktop publishing applications for work, but this is not true for all usages. IF you plan to work in a studio they will not let you use any outside programs, as far as I know? For personal use that is a different story. Bottom-line. PS should not give anybody problems in resizing, unless the image is too small, and the version of PS does not support small images correctly. Try-rotating the image in photoshop and tell me if it still becomes altered??? Otherwise switch to the CS2 series. PS on the 9x sucks the fun out of it. -
I am still building mine, let me hear how yours go. Here are things to think about 1. MotherBoard ( just for the sake of stupidity we call it a logicboard ) will be intel for the most results using the patches. Whatever board you use, you want the faster transfer speeds, but again this is 98 we are talking about. 2. The drivers of the graphics card must be official drivers ( meaning you need a programmer to tweak the drivers ) and not force-ware. Force-ware is not the over-all solution. 3. The sound driver is like the graphics card but most should work. Do not buy the greatest or latest sound card before you know it will work. I have a sound blaster 9. My other one got stolen. 4. Again with the patches, because you want the best display you need alot of memory. 98 will reset unless patches including kernel patches. However their are other ways to bypass the resetting problem. Just to test, try installing your NT games. Just to be honest, I also wanted this but I just use the blasted Vista because it was less the $100. Just to play the games. In order to play all 3d NT games you need to be ( or have on hand ) a programmer. Their was this programmer who has a website, where he has tons of unofficial drivers, and old programs. I really love his website, he is a true Windows 1.0 and 3.1 hero. Bottom-line you need a program like that person. Maybe you could ask them, but I forget the website. However in your case you are using the patches, and kernel update from start. So that should be enough to get the NT drivers to kick in? Those NT drivers will be looking for the locations of all windows components from the NT family. So in between a person would have to have the patches, and kernelEX updates and then program drivers just for those programs. I use my 9X to play the emulators, not including any emulator that is not supported on the 9x branch. However this is usually because of memory mapping limitations. Then of course their is flash that loads everything into memory, and Uncompress the files, if your into flash games. Finally there is HD to consider if your that freak who has the big giant "Futurama television as your display panel. To do HD resolutions ( those stupid pi terms ), you need correct drivers, a card with tons of memory, and tons of on board RAM. When you accomplish this, report back on your findings. So just to review. 1. All the hardware that is able to work with the KernelEX and patches the best, are needed. Trail and error 2. All the official drivers needs to be updated individually by a real programmer. 3. NT programs should be able to install. 2000, XP, Vista, etc etc etc. 4. Emulators 9x and NT should be able to run smoothly. 5. High-end flash files should be able to run in the highest sharpness/fluid looking graphics without slow-downs. 6. Considering 4 and 5, the memory and and graphics card memory should be maxxed out, and in exHD resolutions on exHD displays. It should like Venus wars in your master bedroom. To test get an exHD images, and the updated version of Irfanview. If you can view these big images, your games should be able to run as well, but their are all kinds of test. Another one is to consider a high end 3d graphics tat runs inside a flash, because all of these takes a lot out of the system. I am talking about like, retarded exHd detailed graphics. If all goes well on your 9X journey, please tell us. I am sure people will aide you in your journey. BE WARNED. Higher end editing programs, might install their versions of software and force you to re-install. However that is trail and error. If your system was to work then you should be able to load a 3d world scene in exhd, using vectored images as well.

I just decided to roll by, and look other people are having the same problem, isn't that just fine and dandy. Boycott Google? Boycott new hardware? Apparently Google is a supporter of Privacy or they are against privacy? So far Google is infinity times better then any god forsaken Yahoo ( that posts your IP and launches stings with the thought police, when you start thinking outside the Iron Curtian ) crap. In a nutshell an Ipad/tablet is a stupid smart phone which is a stupid PPC. I feel that google is forcing ( hurting the consumer with tatics ) It says in the warning below you can post messages but only in Youtube mobile???? https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171666?hl=en Before it was asking me, to make a shorter name, but now it is asking me the click okay. Should I click okay, or is that giving me a Google+ account login? This is just stupid. I am tired of this crap, they want me to put all my private information into their website. That is because out of all the other mail groups, they have been making the most money alongside ( phone companies ), when it has come to selling information about users. Then of course it is way too easy to break into a Yahoo account along with making one. I know somebody who account was hacked, and the moment the activated the yahoo version of facebook, somebody went in and changed the background to reflect their name, like a big joke. Not kidding you. I usted to use Yahoo as well. I got tired of all the idiots sending me crap from thier phone because they have me linked in their list of names. Also for some reason, somebody was able to use my real name to find my Yahoo mail and then send me personal information. Your name = Your Yahoo email account. Go try it right now ( on somebody elses unprotected wireless ). Also thanks to Yahoo my former zip code is wide open for anybody to see. Any other personal information I put into Yahoo. Yahoo also treats it's "Answers' as a social media website. You gotta buncha sicko's Ned Flanders ( not to disrespect ) using it like ICE or a FLEX program.

Why did the network password, got forgotten after being updated? Does that make any sense? Why would something destroy stored information after being upgraded, and what was in fact updated??? Just to be clear, the second question I am asking, is what was upgraded? .................. Drama below, question above. So as mentioned in another thread, I have this brand new against my will computer that is now being paid on imaginary angry person credit. As I have insanely yelled and politely spoken, to never update anything without understanding what it is updating from, and never to update certain things. Of course since nobody listens to me, and just buy things on credit while they have things to pay for on credit like loans, they updated. So now the network wifi password ( which we all know ) got forgotten. That is not the problem, so I ask, why???

Basically when using your computing device, and plug it into one of these outlits, it will send an Wi-fi signal, that opts in to charge you for the usage of power. Take I go to Mcdonalds, Pizzahut, or Starbucks and decide I want to use the power-outlet for my lab-top. It will cost me money. Apparently this has been a problem for many vendors with people jacking the power supply from school outlets. I remember it being done at my college, and I bet your "non-profit-organization" has tons of people jacking the power, which adds up all together. So next time, when your in that high class place and see a free outlit, that is unplugged prepare to be billed.

Now I truly have a reason to live in darkness. I could actually see the usage for this, they could spy on their citizens via light bulbs. A reason, why I would not buy these bulbs. In fact some electronic devices can be used as radio device that can both receive and send signals. Also keep in mind, that China has been buying technology rights from other nations.

If the person is your friend you can, make a torrent file, and send them the torrent and then he uses it. That is the ultimate purpose of that usage is. Not to upload anything to the net, and still transport for middle-men class users ( like most of us ). No Email that can be browsed No P2P to be browsed No uploading of files to random persons server. Just remember that various clients have their usage. You want to make one, that points to the file location, and then send it to them, someway. Keep in mind, anybody that gets ahold of that file, are able to go snooping for file location.( or at least what I understand ). 2. create your own FTP server, which can be done on a windows XP, and some UNIX interfaces. OS9 and OSX can also do this ( I think ). However you need to know instructions, and for safety create a password. 3. Old News: Microsoft has an at home internet mail server program. Their are tons of these, from many many years ago. 4. I forget this program name ( but it was discussed on the forum somewhere in the 98 section ). You can use a service, to gain access to your desktop, and log into your computer while you are at work. My professor would do this a lot, and it has been used in the military during the Oriental 2001 days ( with permissions problems ). 5. You can also setup a temporary website from your home, but you need to filter the net, otherwise a whole bunch of requests ( users ) will come thru ( if that is the correct word ).

Microsoft has no or barely any encryption in searches, and works side by side with government officials like IBM. Why do I want to surf BING? If BING is slow, that means your computer is not fast enough to keep up with the Javascript. Just disable Java, and any other features, that loads including images. That will make it faster. Some pages loads FLASH video as well.

New Security Threat ... Little Piece of Plastic, Usually Purple
ROTS replied to Monroe's topic in General Discussion
So you are saying that, a person who steals/make/setup these devices could in fact collect peoples information thru a keyboard i/o??? They walk right into the store, make an distraction, and plugs the device in. To a non computer savy person, it looks normal. So then a store security officer, sees a person not in store uniform installing a device. These devices are sometimes hidden in consumer products as well? My Keyboard device, might be storing data on me right now, as I type this? In a short note, the law is interpreted in words and words alone. Lets me say something. That purple thing they talking about, is a standard color for the official Keyboard i/o devices. Most if not all keyboards after the Serial days were taken over by these. Most likely the mouse and keyboard ports are limited??? compared to the serial. The disturbing part about this, is not security threats to your Debit/credit card, since it is very easy to get your cash refunded. Just by filing a report to your bank. Where they will destroy your card, and send you a new one. Some people are just too dumb not do tack immediate action, when they see the charges in their account history. Even when they have "direct/electronic access" to their history. The disturbing part is if any vendors like OCP or Shinra Electrical is using this against us. Not too long ago, when I should have quit college in my intro to computer class, the professor was telling me about how you could program the keyboard for many things. In fact many older and bolder computers from the 1980's could make sound effects come out of the keyboards, lights plays in sequential order ( like on a toy ), and even store tons of data. More recently a new keyboard has visual displays, so you can have keys with little screens, that displays any image you want on them. -
Apparently, they want a law that makes it illegal for a person to dump their computers? So by next year or so, just like flat-screens, it will be a standard not to throw your garbage out, but make a trip to the electronics disposal. Do you buy this, and is anybody fighting this law in your area of the world? By law computers should be considered recyclables, for the cans and what not garbage man to deal with. Not a special center. It sounds like a cool law, but between us folks, they started this after forcing people into digital televisions.

Lets get down to business. 1. Intel does not want people, to scrap the parts of their computers, so you can resell, and recycle your machine. Like I do not need a new computer to view HD, I just need a really powerfull ( but cheap ) graphics card ). 2. Intel wants people to buy new and only, products. 3. Intel wants to keep you dumb. 4. Microsoft ( goverment controlled ) wants everybody to become a wireless user, so they can tweak the law enough to make home computers have barely if not any privacy as wireless phone. 6. They enjoy watching us dumb stupid consumers dance around like monkeys. A. Microsoft Works/Office ( on the Mac known as Adobe CS-X ) B. Buy a new computer to watch HD video on a 20" display. C. Make you buy a bigger display for your living room, and private rec-room ( AKA your desktop ). D. Install a **** network camera, and security software over your landlines ( guess who is watching your home ). E. Buy a computer with Camera, that can turn on without the light. F. that helps DOS attackers, and hackers infiltrate your network better. 5.Microsoft does not value your privacy alongside, Yahoo, Sprint, any landlines company makes money off selling your information. I don't know about Google, but hey. The law is unbalanced everywhere you go, and it keeps getting piledrived into the ground because everybody wants everybody to leads everybody astray.

Okay this is funny, I got a DELL recently, and opened em up. Inside was an 80Giger, but when I load it up, the BIOS and OS calls it an 30Giger. Even when I go into the BIOS, it also sees the drive as a 30Gig drive. If the Hard Drive description I haven't booted the machine yet, and me fiddling with the files, probably damaged the OS. The machine is a 2Ghz DELL, standard ( I guess ). The drive had some smaller partition that was not being displayed. It had a "special name" for that smal bit of FAT16 part, however I deleted and reformatted the small partisan. So I forget the name. Seeing the contents, it looks like a couple of DELL files. It has a standard unparted space of 13MB as most NTFS systems have. I am confused, did somebody on purposely mislabeled the drive, or has somebody changed the official storage amount of this drive, for some reason??? I am just curious and all, because this is the first time I have seen an official label with incorrect information about a drive. Is their a tool, program, command, etc I can do in order to get the rest of the 50Gigs, to show up? I am unconvinced, deleting the partitian will not slove anything because, the BIOS is showing it as 30Gigs. This is not a 30gig drive, it is marked as 80gig with the official acid-tag and everything.

Perhaps the Most Expensive New / Used DVD Ever ?
ROTS replied to Monroe's topic in General Discussion
I was thinking more about the TV made movie called "Zero Zero". It comes in a CD box set. The box set is directed around the music that was scored for that one TV film. It is a short story, about a utopia futurisitc world, and one is not allowed to have any emotion ( simular to THX ). I forget the rest, but I like intresting odd things like that. I am pretty sure it is expensive because the "artist" will not sell it anywhere else or lessin the price. Probably because they are basing the price off inflation. -
I will check it out, when I get the chance. As long as it is bub and bob and you can log into a server, and play levels, it should be the game I was talking about.
-
Or does Jaws play you? Jaws, was released on the PS2, and was everything we could hope for, but guess what? This same game is also on PC as well ( and I think the 360?? ) but anyhows. I know many people loves the PS2 and all, but you have to check this game out on the highest graphical settings. It will leave you blown away. You get to do all of things Jaws, did and more. I mean omgsh, omgsh, omgsh this game is amazing. Just like movies if not even more realisitic then the movies could ever be. You can even use the Camera from a FPS view, thru the eyes of Jaws. Look at the expressions on all the swimmers eyes. Even sneak up on swimmers. JUMP THRU THE UNDER SEA TUNNEL JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES. Do dolphin stylistic jumps, Shark Rudder, listen to the HAM radio, Etc I do not want to ruin the game for you folks, out their. If you are somewhat a Jaws fans ( like everybody ), then you have to play this game. If will leave you with your eyes behind your head, like if you went on a roller-coaster to Hawaii Ki ki. "Help, Shark Lifegaurd" just like that. I Also know people who are fans of the NES Jaws should also get a kick out of this one. I was browsing thru Shark games, when I found the PS2/PC game, I mentioned. I was thinking about an earlier or non-Jaws related game ( not the Kung Fu Shark on the Wii ) but I found out about this game instead.

"Shaka Zulu" !!!!!!!!! Go see it now, my most favorite line ever, in that film when King Shaka asked the leader of the swallows about the story about monkey and the goard. Then their was the "Cannon Fodder" scene. Of course is the comparison between Shaka, Georgie IV??, and Queen Elizibeth the First. I know this movie took advantage of the pro-Africanization period of the world but that film is so auwsome. It is so easy to compare yourself to these characters. College proffessors could name a billion examples, and write a billion papers using Shaka Zula, as an example. Another thing to note, is that Georgie is used in various comics, animations, and other fiction as well. The backdrop of the Governours mansion is also immitated in various X-rated works. "Come Ladies"...... The actor died recently who played Shaka at 58?? Chained to a hospital bed, because of his senile behaviour.

http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/19/movie-gadget-friday-runaway/ The bottom line they do not want people to have any privacy so, that "Super cops" could continue to be on Uncle-Sams tab. Basically alot of ex-military types need bread on their tables, and it is easy to abuse people who do nothing harmless, to anybody at all, then to go after real criminals. Norton, is not built into the operating system, as with many programs that keeps unwanted guests out. If you understand how OS are oriented, then you also understand that a Super-Cop would want to get as much dirt on somebody before that attacked them. Because most officers nowaday avoids being sued. Eitherway their is nothing to fear but fear itself. So we should not think in that manor. I also see alot of hidden messages in various "programs" that informs me of my activities. The bottom-line is that you should not support advancement in technology as possible. Boycotting holidays is a must.

Perhaps the Most Expensive New / Used DVD Ever ?
ROTS replied to Monroe's topic in General Discussion
Just to stay on topic, I think the CD box set of Zero, Zero is the most expensive. It is around 200+ and 89leer??? I have been searching for this for a long time. It is one of those futuristic films ( made for TV ), like 1984, or THX but Eurotrash style. Simular to the world of Dune in a sense. "Cult" ( Charles Manson types ) from the 1960's and so forth. I want to hear the score so badly, but it is not so popular. Oh television, I remember those good days. I would go to the store and buy a dub for $24.95 on VHS. Then rush home in glee and happiness, sometimes friends and or family members would have this thing called movie night. We would perform wrestler, and street fighter moves on each other. HA HA HA. But now nobody buys anything anymore trying to stay on topic with a tight insane smile, ha ha ha. Honestly it is hard for me to say, because I see those DVD, Blu-ray, etc. All I see is plastic rubber begging me to back them up to a solid state drive, and keep on my USB when I use a public computer in the library. I have tons of CD's, and all, but I do not have the "Quality of life" to afford carrying them around with me all the time. Lost World was nice, I remember Magaretta being hard headed annoying to work with, in every episode. I perfer Zebbs on "Lexx" but I will look into it, when I get a chance. It is no suprise "Lost World" got a VCD release because like "Highlander" it was made for house wives, who reads those Romance Novels. Like WWF. However it was intresting enough for people to watch over the weekends before going back to work/school. -
@jaclaz The internet was created to share information. This information could be seen as an deterrent, or a pacifier. Think of the internet as being one big distraction, or human bug zapper, or even a cellphone phone where the indivisual is nullified in their actions. However they go on their daily routine, like a person who drinks coffee, that being said the internet could be considered a virtual-drug.........and now they want to take that away from you. Truth be told in areas, where violence, brith-rates, and even substance abuse, have gone down dramatically thanks to the internet. That is until people got immune to the internet. Then their is self-control. We see things on television, and hear about events. We have self-control and thus we do not do things, like break the law. Now imagine if somebody, just decided to make laws, that invades people privacy, which can lead to home invasions. Which they have been doing for, sometime. They invade your privacy, then invade your home, even might rob you blind, hold your belongings for ransom, and in some instances put you inside a room of real violators. Not to mention give a big red online blip, to all the other people who have commited a real sexual offense. Next thing you know, your job might want to find a reason to let you go. Like some kind of retarded rule. You might have no choice but to take a check from Sam I Am, and play baby sitter in one of the local public systems. Then they take that professional and have them shoveling trash for a living, and working in hazardous enviorments. Just for clicking a button. At the end of the day, your way of thinking should not be damaged by a law that invades your personal space, because you sat on your arse, turned on a machine and click a button. A person that is accessing data, is not equal to a person, purchasing, or making an verbal agreement, of exhange of goods. It is not a person making open threats. This is not justice, this is an easy way to destroy peoples lives and turn them into inhuman, insane, and demonized indivisuals.

This whole thing, with the "blah blah porn is getting stupider, and stupider. Apparently they are abusing the court systems on that subject to make milluicious code. Why can't the law just be, if you do the crime, then you do the time. Not if you view media related to it, you should be considered Al Capone. That is just stupid. If somebody wented to court and struck down all the laws that was associated with invasion of internet privacy, nobody would really care at all. It takes one scared hen to burn down the farm, and the farm is the nation. Why is it mostly the US, that have this problem? Why not every other nation have this problem? The way I see it, if you let people live in their imagination, they are less likely to harm anybody at all. What color would the river would look like if we had no imagination? I will tell you red, that is how outside would look like. Let the baby have their bottle, so we can move foward into a brighter future. But maybe that is the game plan? To generate a bunch of damaged and distorted confused people. WHat is stupider is how these laws are just pushing, so they could pass an even higher law that hurts indivisuals freedoms.

So I finally got Windows 8 ( by force ) inside my home. Without consulting me, the only person who even go inside a computer, or attempts programming, they beought an almost $1000 labtop, on credit....................................... The Gui itself reminds me of a magazine, or a book. It is extremly simple, flat, boring and 2d. It is everything opposite as we expected it to be. On a short sighted noticed, I would like to point out the many problems we had the last ten years or so, because of hate for things people do not understand. I do not know if the simplistic appearance is something to be proud of. It feels like 1980's all over again ( which means it is like the 1950's all over again ( which means it is like the 1920's all over agan ) ). Maybe their is still some hope for this world maybe, but then again that might be the negative undertones of what these designs might mean. As with "Regans looking back speech". However that is the one thing positive I have to say about Windows 8 GUI appearance at least. It is freindly, simple, clean, and innocent looking. It makes me feel like a four year old kid all over again, going to McCorrys to buy toys. That is how freindly it feels, like being on some sorta wonder drug that takes you to the land of Oz. However their is kind of a downer to all of this. From the X-box era Microsoft have the gamers crowd lined up to buy into X-box live. They also have Adobe users because of the OSX switch to Intel. Finally to make things more easier for them, the goverments, schools, and anybody that takes Uncle Sams non-for-profit blood money, are forced into upgrading their hardware, under law. Which in turns force everybody who is not a real programmer, to upgrade just for MS-word. That is the first downer. As mentioned, the other problem is the security of the OS. I can't "bare" to even think of an break n entering, or home invasion, brought you by Carls Juniors. Because some negative nancy nun had a hard time back in the 1965 when people started to think in the right direction. This second downer. Windows 8 is a step into the right direction, that we from the late 98 Days have always wanted. Starting with VISTA, and XP, Microsoft has been moving alongside with the whole 3d and 2d life promotion. It is like everybody was high on SIMS, and virtual reality. But Windows 8 shows that programmers ( who are probably my age range right about now ) are connecting with the users on the level of graphic designers at least. That is shorta a good thing. If you can afford it, have credit, or is a raging person who has barely no disipline, and does not care how things work. Get Windows 8. If you want something that looks like it was made back in 1979, but is really from the book/movie 1984 then get windows 8, I am sure the thought police wont bother you, unless you have something that is precious

Shadow-Run Corperate Dragon Saga . Was were Shadowrun left off. Leaving behind, the SNES, Genesis, and a few unfinished PSX and PC game demos. Recently the Kickstarter for the SROnline, and Return was a success. I just wondering if anybody plays the game. When the publish company broke up ( that made the crude Microsoft game ), the main person in charge of the company, brought the rights and was able to bring this game to reality. Personally I really missed the SNES game, while it was a prodigy type game I feel it was the most original of the two games ( the Genesis being a gautlet heroes type clone game ). It also gives the term "point and click" its true meaning while I still say "Comic Adventure" for which all text adventure games are in reality. Shadowrun is what Final Fantasy tried to become since FF7. An RPG in the present day world.
