no insult intended - but are you sure task manager is not running? In XP - task manager by default hides inactive apps? Do you have a clock visible? Do you have a hash mark where you think task manager should be? LS

Ebay is becoming more and more overloaded with sellers - pushing prices lower and lower. good for buyer and bad for seller. My wife was on ebay selling TONS for 2 and a half years - and actually making pretty good money, but has now dropped it because had to keep lowering prices.

Found this over on Slashdot, it seems that apparently the CDex application (the open source easy to use Audio CD Ripper) has itself been ripped off by NeoNapster, replacing the logo and adding some spyware and adware. There is a notice over on CDex :- There is an application called NeoAudio, which is a straight CDex rip off. They changed some string (i.e. replace CDex with NeoAudio), changed the logo and added some nice SpyWare and Adware. I contacted Richard M. Stallman about this issue, but unfortunately I can not do much about it, except for the fact that they are removing/changing copyright strings which they should not. So please do not download and install NeoAudio (they probably make quite a few dollars by shipping the adware) and also advice other people NOT to download NeoAudio either, and warn innocent users not to download this application but download CDex instead.

Hey Lynch... Yeah - I thought you might have meant the yin/yang. That would be much harder - without the original PSD file (if he even did it in Photoshop. Need layers etc to get the 3D look. LS_Dragons PS - I decided not to use this WP either.

Hey Lynch Here is my attempt at the dragon wallpaper in red. I just noticed a stray red dot on the left. That wasn't there in the photoshop file - must have been a stray dot during JPEG conversion. Let me know if this is what you were talking about... LS_Dragons

Each successive SP includes all the fixes from previous SP's. So, if you have Win2K 'gold' installed from CD - then have installed SP1 and SP2. Now, you want to do a clean install of gold and add SP3. You now have gold +SP1 +SP2 +SP3. cheers LS

No suggestions on getting what you have to work other than what has already been suggested. BUT -- before you go whack $125 on a CDRW drive - stop. I would suggest saving for another bit until you can buy a DVD+RW drive. Prices have fallen below $300 - but will keep going down. I just got a Philips (model 6002) and it is the bombay. LS_Dragons

Same here - I don't have invisible icons - but have them placed sort of at random on the protruding cubes. If you want to do that, make sure that Autoarrange and Align to Grid are not checked. Then - put the icons wherever you want them. LS

perhaps an alternative is utilizing the built in remaote access ability of XP? This referes to tailhead - not the VPN/Game discussion that broke out.

Have you tried creating a 'transparent' GIF -- turn into icon -- set the transparent icon for the Trash Empty icon. I have not tried this - but it should work. If you can't make a transparent icon - make one with only 1 or 2 pixels colored a neutral grey. that might work. LS_Dragons

The cheat turn 1 (one) single pixel in the upper left hand corner of the disply white when a square is safe. Have to look real hard to see it - but it is there. LS

WOW Lynchknot. I really like your mod of the wallpaper. Check out my current DT. I hacked KOL's MM visual style for a dragon start button - and then made some dragon icons (along top of screen). I had the icons set to 128x128 -- but that totally fu$#s up that start menu - so back to 64x64. Makes the dragons inside a bit hard to recognize.
