  1. what router do you have? and where did you get the 3rd party firmware?
  2. my experience has been that random restarts are generally RAM errors. I would try the program "goldmemory" (google it... plenty of hits). It is a program that you actually boot to that tests your ram. If there's a fault in there, it'll find it. I'd test 1 stick at a time good luck
  3. i'd agree.... if you're unsure, put it in quotes
  4. the thought of mixing humans and animals (genetically speaking) freaks me out a bit, and I can't say I look forward to the day I see a dog walking down the street that is conversing with his owner... obviously it looks like it will be inevitable, and despite any laws forbidding it, it will still get done, but still... i hope i'm dead before then
  5. what version of ZA are you installing, and what was the syntax for your install? I.E. REG ADD %KEY%\085 /VE /D "Zone Alarm Pro 5.1.033" /f REG ADD %KEY%\085 /V 1 /D "%I%\zonealarm\zalarm.exe /s /i /noreboot /lickey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" /f
  6. i have a centrino based laptop and it's not excellent at games (intel baed graphics, 64MB shared memory), but it's light. I got it for $1000 from www.ibuypower.com. Its their slim series notebooks
  7. what burning program do you have? do you have an option to force a DVD burn?
  8. to be honest, i think it varies by what region of the US it's coming from.... for instance, i'm in the northeast. There is nothing bigger than the boston red sox. For as long as I can remember, they were always front stage, even when the NE patriots were going for a superbowl in 2001 and 2004, the red sox were still front page news. btw... where's hockey?
  9. oh man... i thought runonce was still the mainstream. oh how fast technology changes
  10. afaik, mozilla did not put any silent switches in their installer, which is why you have to use a custom one. The easiest one is the one found here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...&hl=thunderbird a post totoymola made linking to an SFX archive that extracts an MSI that performs the install is in that link. use that. no switches required as they're built into the SFX
  11. i thought i got it from that zip... i'll post it later today, or maybe another member would be so kind in the meantime
  12. I'm at work, so I don't have the exact tweak, but I got it from the ZIP in this thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=27911
  13. Once your image goes over 700MB, you're gonna need a DVD... no change to the way you make the CD, i.e. you can still use CDIMAGE if that's your program of choice.
  14. Alright, so this isn't a piracty thread or nothing, but I need some advice... I just bought the new Green Day album, and, as I like to do with all my CDs, I want to rip the tracks I like to my hard drive. That way I can listen to them at any time, and make mixes and whatever. now I've always used Exact Audio Copy before and never had any problems. EAC sees the tracks there, but when I make a MP3, the file is completely blank... no song. I'm using the LAME encoder, but it's not that because I've ripped just a WAV and it's blank too. What do you guys use to rip MP3s now that the labels are putting copy protection on it? Any other suggestions for me?
  15. just out of curiosity... how do you know it's not working?
  16. i'd have to agree... 2005 is projected to be a transition year more than anything else. I'm also a big fan of ATI, but I'd wait til SLI is really in full swing. That would give you a better upgrade path than what's out now.
  17. not gonna matter really, but i would go gforce4
  18. i love the shuttle XPCs.... def the best by far. I'm partial to the AMD chips, but you can't go wrong either way
  19. big fan of runonce, but probably gonna switch to WPI at some point
  20. u asked for OS, I would assume most are using XP Pro SP2 (at least I am)
  21. interesting results... now i'm even more stumped... installed FF # 1 and TB #2... those installed no problem.... I get all the way to winamp, and it then pops up saying an install is currently running REG ADD %KEY%\065 /VE /D "Symantec Antivirus Corporate 9.0" /f REG ADD %KEY%\065 /V 1 /D "%I%\sav\sav.exe" /f REG ADD %KEY%\070 /VE /D "UltraISO 7.2.5.923" /f REG ADD %KEY%\070 /V 1 /D "%I%\ultraiso\ultraisosetup.exe /VERYSILENT /SP-" /f REG ADD %KEY%\070 /V 2 /D "%I%\ultraiso\uiso.cmd" /f REG ADD %KEY%\075 /VE /D "Winamp 5.08 and skins" /f REG ADD %KEY%\075 /V 1 /D "%I%\winamp\winamp.msi ini=%I%\winamp\setup.ini /qb" /f REG ADD %KEY%\075 /V 2 /D "%I%\winamp\copy.cmd" /f could winrar be exiting before the MSI is unloaded from memory? The only thing that prevents me from believing that is UltraISO runs after SAV, so I can't see SAV not having enough time to complete. At least some progress is made right?
