  1. Try Kerio 2.1.5 version, never had any problems with it. I didn't like Zone alarm because it kept blocking me out of the internet.
  2. By far CCleaner; http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000-2144...tml?tag=lst-0-1 Very safe as deleting unwanted registry. Wouldn't recommend any of those professional software one's like Registry Mechanic.
  3. Got rid of Norton Internet Security in the end. Had some weird messages about the Firewall not loading properly. Installed Avast Home Edition and Kerio 2.1.5 firewall. Oh and what the hells Norman? -Is it another one of Norton concoctions?
  4. Lol, Windows could be classed as virus, if you look at it in a type of way. Windows helps spread viruses just like, if a killer helped killers kill people. But, not...? Anyway, thats funny.
  5. Itunes for me. Winamp is good, in fact I have both but Itunes os better.
  6. Did it with IE and Norton Internet Security denied access to it.
  7. i had a box at at work that was so hosed and so s-s-s-l-l-l-o-o-o-w-w-w because of 'norton security 2005' it was a pathetic joke. i probably spent well over an hour trying to uninstall it, both automatically and manually. another joke. seems there's a lot more complaints as well. It may be a problem if you get a problem in trying to contact them but as long as it's working there shouldn't be a problem? When I encounter a problem I'll install something else. Having said that an article I found was pretty disturbing; http://www.trimmail.com/news/elsewhere/data/1137037560.93/ http://digg.com/security/Symantec_caught_embedding_rootkits New article as well. Then again you could also say McaFe are upto something and the same with Avast and Grisoft...they could be one big virus spreading company just to make money out of people. Back to Norton, I bet there are just as more people happy with their software as being unhappy. People have the tendancy to complain but never compliment
  8. Lol, Norton Internet Security 2005 came free with my PC when I bought it. Decided to keep it on because it hasn't given me any hassle. Blocked anything nasty that has tried to get on my PC and has some nice features. I don't really want to try and attemp to remove it otherwise it's bound to ruin the system. If I thought it was that bad I would uninstall it and have a firewall and antivirus, but have always preferred to have an all in one set-up. "ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 6.1.737.000 vsmon.exe 24,472 isafe.exe 10,992 zlclient.exe 4,296 TOTAL=39,760kb BitDefender 9 Internet Security bdss.exe 21,232 xcommsvr.exe 3,124 bdnagent.exe 920 bdmcon.exe 16,324 livesrv.exe 4,392 vsserv.exe 18,116 bdoesrv.exe 1,640 TOTAL=65,748kb" Thankls for the stats. I suppose Norton will be far more then 65,748kb?
  9. Been using Norton Internet Security 2005 for about 5 months now. Very impressed despite all the bad feedback about it. Blocked a serious worm going through IE a few weeks ago. Detected 1 virus and deleted automatically. Runs extremely well on my 1.5 GIG RAM machine McAfee would be my worse. Although I found it effective when I used it a few years ago, couldn't remove a virus that somehow got on my PC and then errors started appearing.
  10. I use IE simply because it's quick and all pages load ok (Some websites struggle with Mozilla) but I use Mozilla on occasions. Hate Netscape.
  11. Spyware Doctor is a very good scanner and defense. Spybot and Adaware are extremely good for finding Tracking cookies and medium rated Spyware. Microsofts Antispyware I wouldn't rate highly. Spyware Blaster is very good.
  12. Any old crap would do me Not really into Christmas as much as when I was younger...still, mostly tends to be a happy time.
  13. Would had voted for Sygate if it wasn't for Symantec taking it other. Zone Alarm would then get my vote. Easy to use and effective.
  14. I have an Intel Extreme Graphics 3D card that just about plays Halo. I think it's just a standard bottom range one. I'm pretty sure the G-Force 4 is much better .
  15. Everytime I put a floppy disk in my disk drive, open up Word Processor and open a document it takes ages although most of the time it does open the document eventually. I suppose that's a problem but the even bigger problem/annoyance is that when I restart my computer when I have used the Floppy Disk and opened a Word Processing document from it, the drive makes an horrendous loud jamming noise. If I never use the Floppy disk drive and restart my computer it doesn't do it. I did get a floppy disk stuck in it but I managed to pull it out (perhaps it did some damage to the internal drive mechanism thing?) Any ideas?
  16. Probably winter because there's no hayfever, it's never too hot and it snows (not that often anymore ) Summer these days are far to hot.
  17. Conserative when I'm old enough to vote.
  18. 1; Command and conquer yuri's revenge 2; Half-life 3; Resident evil 2 4; Command and conquer red alert 5; Halo
  19. Unmarried no kid,s thankgod 17
  20. Adaware, Spyware Doctor free edition, Spy sweeper (Slows down computer) Microsoft Anti-spy and Spyware blaster but I don't have a clue what it's suppose to do-still use it anyway. All good programmes .
  21. I had Norton 2003 which worked fine, then upgraded to 2004 and got quite a serious virus. Now I'm using Avast which I have used for a few months. Seems to work great
