  1. To keep my current (been there almost a year)
  2. Apparently once the roll up is installed WMP11 can be installed, it's just a case of getting around the roll up issue?
  3. I've been trying to install Windows Media Player 11 but I keep getting this message; "Unsupported operating system" "Please visit windows update to download the rollup update 2 for windows xp media centre edition 2005" But the update refuses to install. Any ideas?
  4. Yuck, no thanks. pro evo is where it's at.
  5. Been trying out Look n'stop lite. Seems like a good firewall. ANyone know how to configure it?
  6. Norton because it hardly ever asks me to do anything. Actually, I voted for Norton because I knew no-one else would Zone Alarm.
  7. Been using this free browser for a couple of days now. Very impressed, websites load fast, has a built in Antispyware quick scan, love the interface and has the 'tab' feature like Firefox. http://www.download.com/AOL-Explorer/3000-...tml?tag=lst-0-1 I wouldn't normally use AOLs software but this seems to be as good as any other browser and I think it's better then Firefox. About a million times better then IE.
  8. Well I went through the process and ordered one. It did have options for other countries. I have oredered free stuff of Microsoft before. Like the Windows SP2 Disk. Took them about a week to get it to me.
  9. You can't trust any of em unless you make it yourself I don't not trust free firewalls but I prefer to use a paid subscription one like Norton and when the subscription nearly runs out uninstall it and reinstall it again..resets the expiry date and get another year free. If they found out they would probably try and get me done? I'll give that winpooch a try on my old PC that has just Norton antivirus 2004 on it at the moment.
  10. I wouldn't give them my details if they paid me.
  11. After using an Alias wallpaper decided to go back to my old one. Donno why but I like it a lot....
  12. Whenever I start up Windows 98SE I get that error come up. "twotrack.vxd error". and Windows will not shut down viar Start>Shutdown. I'm thinking it might be a virus. Any ideas on a solution on how to remeby this problem? Thanks.
  13. Believe it or not, this very old version of the freeware Kerio is about the best I've run. I thought that 2.1.5 wasn't available for download anymore in lieu of a newer version. I used it a couple of years ago when I got fed up with Zone Alarm. Kerio and AVG Free work great together. Unfortunately Kerio 2.1.5 is a bit out of date now and I doubt the protection is that good but it does Inbound/Outbound protection so it would easily be adequate I would had thought (excellent for PCs running 64MB RAM) http://pricelessware.org/thelist/sec.htm (Scroll down) Personally, I've got fed up with using Free software so I now use Norton Internet Security 2006. Not exactly the most recommended security software but it's just as good as anything else. (Although for some reason fails to detect a 6 month old MSN virus while AVG detects it)
  14. Sounds like someone is trying to hack into your computer to me. Do you have a firewall router? That should solve the problem. If that was happening to me I would completely reinstall windows, because I would be too paranoid about it
  15. 1; Spysweeper 2; Norton Internet Security 2006 3; MSN Messenger 4; VCW Vickmans photo editor 5; Adaware 6; Ccleaner 7; Microsoft Antispy 8; Windows Blinds 9; Windows Media Player 10; DivX
  16. I got infected by that MSN virus. Luckily I was using my less important old computer. Saved it to desktop, right clicked it and scanned for viruses yet Norton didn't detect it. I ran the app (I new it was a virus but decided to see what it would do) and Norton strangely uninstalled itself and Microsoft antispy crashed. I think it used a programme to execute itself. You wouldn't believe how many of my contacts got infected... Got rid of it but the computer wouldn't work right so reinstalled windows. The same person (knowingly) sent me the virus again, saved it to my desktop and put it on a floppy disk. Scanned again with Norton and still didn't detect it (virus definitions upto date) yet tried it with Free AVG and it found it. First virus I've ever had where I couldn't repair my system. nasty piece of work that.
