No... your picture says DDR-SDRAM, which is the same as regular DDR RAM (at least in common terms). There is no such thing as DDR-S RAM afaik.

Get the 4400+ instead of the 4200+. It's a better core and apparently a little bit more OC-able.

Kaspersky has a higher list of viruses in its definition files, but it's not that great at catching new threats until Kaspersky Labs releases a new definition file. Sure...studying viruses...

AFAIK, it will import files from PST files (but not any attachments that you had stored - at least the last time I used TB, version 1.2 I think). It will then continue using its own format to store future messages. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. That's what I remember from when I last used ThunderBird.

Like the topic says... I've tried out HyperCam, and it's pretty good so far IMO. Once you get the codecs working properly the files come out in decent quality and small file size. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Why does it really matter what virus it was? The only way you could have got that many viruses on your system was by either not running and anti-virus program, or running one without updating the definitions. The viruses on the list could have easily corrupted links and files causing your problems. Also, the virus(es) could have messed with your registry resulting in the same behaviour.

I'd have to say that Return of the Jedi was the best overall movie. I think that there were parts of ROTS (Episode III) that were really well done (Mace vs Palpatine, Yoda vs Palpatine, Obi-wan vs Greivous), and others that were just horrible ("Anakin... you're breaking my heart..."). One thing that I think people forget about the old trilogy and the new one is that there was about 25 years inbetween there. Some of the casting done for the new three wasn't the greatest (Hayden Christensen = boo), while others were very good (Ewan McGregor). The SFX in the new movies were pretty darn good as well.

Yup... look online for your motherboard manufacturer's website. Chances are they'll have a PDF of the manual. As for modding the case - I've never done it, but from what I've heard, you can do just about anything - add lights, windows, other flashy stuff. All those are "mods". I like the straight-up black look of my case though.

No problems here yet. I've burned one music CD and one data CD with no troubles. Haven't had a chance to burn a DVD at home yet though.

Do you have special drivers installed for the Logitech Keyboard? Have you checked to see if there are special settings in the Logitech software? Chances are this option has been "taken over" by Logitech.

First off... the price is probably about the same (NewEgg lists prices in USD, the NCIX link gives CAD). As for the cables, those are for the power buttons and LEDs in the front of the case. There's also a cable for the fron USB ports if your motherboard or USB card supports it. You should look at your motherboard manual for more information as to where everything plugs in.

What would be buggy about it? Nero's one of the best burning programs out there. No problems yet for me. Just use NCAB to get rid of whatever you don't want and giver!

Wow... that's a really long list (I've seen worse, mind you). Anyways... I'm gonna be another person here to say backup everything you need (not want - need) and format and re-install. Wipe the whole drive clean (all partitions) and start from scratch. Get a good anti-virus program (have a look in the software section for more info) and firewall, as well as either a handfull of spyware blockers/scanners of Opera/Firefox. Trust me - you'll have a much easier time starting from scratch than trying to fix what you're left with.

Yes, the Antec case can hold an mATX motherboard (it's deisgned for and ATX, but they'll both work). I'd go with the Antec case as well. I've got the same one (I actually recommended it to Jeremy), and it's very good for ventilation and quietness. It's got more drive bays than you can shake a stick at (4x5.25" - 2x3.5" internal - 2x3.5" external) and comes with a 350W power supply (which should do you just fine for most computers - its an Antec PSU after all).

Sure Mac OS just works... for their hardware. Have you ever considered the vast differences in hardware that Windows supports that OSX just wouldn't work on? Remember, Apple is a hardware company first, software company second, and the software that they write only has to work for their hardware. As for Linux and BeOS - I'm sorry to say (and anyone who thinks otherwise can say so) that it is more difficult for someone who isn't familiar with computers to setup a *nix system from scratch (i.e. install OS, drivers, apps, etc). Sure, once you get it working, it's great, but getting it there can be a pain in the a** for most people (remember - not everyone is as computer savvy as you might be). I think it's been said elsewhere regarding the registry - it's not Microsoft's fault that other software companies misuse the registry. There's a lot of talk about moving program settings to XML files and leaving the registry (or whatever it turns into) for the OS (which I think would be a much better method). And stop it already with the whole "because they own the market" crap... Many of the top execs in Microsoft realize that people are becoming more aware of the alternatives to Windows, and they want to make sure that they keep their products up to par to keep their share of the market. If you were to run a company, would you sit back and relax once you've got the majority of the market? Of course not - you'd try to keep it that way. I've just seen too many of those kinds of comments, and it's usually from people who haven't done their reading on the subject.
