  1. let me bring you the bad news. the answer is ... everything well, first of all, did it ever work?
  2. retried it, but before i read your post now i get +- the same error, with only a few drivers removed & xpize integrated with nlite (NO RVM this time). screenshot attached will retry without nlite EDIT: Siginet, can that 25 line limit have something to do with my error? please check the screenshot EDIT: Siginet, u solved my problem i think (after creating it !!!). where's that updated cmdlines thing u be talking about? FINAL EDIT: no go, tested with xp NL (manual sp2 slipstreamed, and copied to a folder in the root of my drive) not related to some limitation u were talking about. only possibilty seems to me it is win2k related (na een beke logisch nadenke, mor logisch betekent ni per se just) btw: invoerregel is te lang = input line is too long btsscr.rar
  3. (EDIT: i think this has to do with my nlited cd, the problem is probably some rvmD-nlite issue, will try again later) running win2k error received during M3 "Completing OemPnPDriversPath in winnt.sif": c:\silent\xpsp2b2\$OEM$\$1\D\S\SM\H\2 De invoerregel is te lang. De syntaxis van de opdracht is onjuist. (not sure of the path) win2k cmd limitation maybe?
  4. agere systems ac'97 modem (aspire 2012wlmi system) not included in xpsp2. had a hard time finding a driver for it. don't know if it's included in your pack. if it isn't, drop me a line and i'll dig it up. http://www.agere.com/entnet/modem_drivers.html => only 1 driver package http://www.agere.com/entnet/docs/modem830.exe cheers
  5. argh, thanks a lot for taking the time to update while it's such a busy period for poor students. will try to use it today and edit this thingy
  6. bblean... give it a few days and u'll never look back explorer shell replacement. u can still use explorer as a file manager (also see xplorer2lite) alongside with it though. afaik not meant to be slipstreamed as windows would be crippled if explorer would be removed totally
  7. installed your pack on win2ksp4 (not nlited). it complains about 3 files while extracting: dxmasf.dll, msdxm.ocx & strmdll.dll. these files should be automatically overwritten, instead it asks for confirmation. after install, mtv.com is still complaining about codecs and telling me to get wmp9. haven't tested with other sites yet. edit: other sites complaining as well. just found out even microsoft doesn't support wmp10 on win2k (official installer told me to **** off, so ... btw: @nuhi: lite preset in nlite messes things up seriously upon install, but hey (i don't care because i know now, too bad i had to find out the hard way ) cheers
  8. pro's charge people i prefer u to stay an amateur until ati mobility is supported... after that, good luck if i'm right
  9. so you're saying he needs to work his a** off for the big punks? i won't vote, because i would prefer the manual (pdf) getting a simple overhaul... not a rewrite, but only some re-arranging to clear things up for the beginners
  10. welcome back thx for the update, will test it when nlite beta2 gets released. dodo time
  11. definitely bblean... if u like minimal (u can make it as bloated as you want to actually)
  12. merci for letting us know what's going on when ur ready i'd say nuke this thread coz the posts in it are somehow irrelevant right now
  13. don't know if anything has changed, but for previous builds the swith was /S (capital s) if this is still valid, you could have found it by a simple search cheers
  14. 1. i don't use it, so can't help you (if the only thing u do with stylexp is theme-switching, check this http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=9878 2. no, u have to get the switch of the SETUP pack. u can type in "cmd", navigate to the folder where ur setup pack is located and type "<name of steup package> /?" PS: not all setup packages support switches properly (if hey do that is ^^) have u read the guide btw? http://unattended.msfn.org cheers
  15. opera, opera & some more opera B)
  16. he hasn't been on the forum for quite a time... guess he'll check and include it if he can, even though that could that quite a long time. while you're at it, ask him to update quicktime and real too, i don't wanna bother him
  17. eben

    innovate

    hmmm risky
  18. opera (all net-related stuff) + explorer2lite (ftp) + winamp & mpc
  19. included the reg tweaks (only works for the LITE version) i found on the explorer2 forums... sets it as default. also the installer supports the /S switch but pops up a window because it's not the full version, so included an autoit3 script (but don't know how to call it, command to put in runonceex.cmd ). if someone can tell me how to call it please explain. cheers 1_Add_Right_Click_function.reg 2_Register_Xplorer2_as_default.reg tst.au3
  20. browser: opera 8 mail: opera 8 irc: opera 8 download manager: opera 8 antivirus: don't need one (avg was scanning opera's cache so reporting every few minutes viruses, instead of adding cache folder to exclusion list i simply uninstalled ) firewall: xpsp2 + wifi router w nat media: ffdshow, qtalt, realalt with mpc and winamp shell: bblean file manager xplorer2lite web design: swishmax & notepad search: copernic cd/dvd: dvdshrink/dvdecryptor/deepburner/xp mat cheers
  21. u don't need those but u need this (those cost money) this one supports silent switches btw forgot to upload, fixed now free dvd decoder codec (only 200k)
  22. replaced some language-specific words to make it work for Dutch XP, i can't write advanced batch thingy's myself. @echo off for /d %%a in ("%AllUsersProfile:\All Users=%\*") do ( if "%%a" neq "All Users" ( if exist "%%~a\Menu Start\Programma's" ( xcopy /s/c/i/q/y "%%~a\Menu Start\Programma's\*" "%AllUsersProfile%\Menu Start\Programma's">nul ) if exist "%%~a\Bureaublad\*.lnk" ( move "%%~a\Bureaublad\*.lnk" "%AllUsersProfile%\Bureaublad" ) ) ) goto :eof cheers
  23. maybe consider checking the guide again. i reckon it is confusing the first time because i messed all the methods up, forgetting what belonged to what method (it is rewritten however so maybe i'm wrong). i suggest RunOnceEx because it provides a good base for wpi if you would want to switch later to WPI for example ... only read that runonceex section (some examples in the guide) dont forget to call the runonceex.cmd from the cmdlines.txt ps: u don't have to copy them to harddisk, running the app setups works fine from cd, just set %cdrom% right (explained somewhere in the guide too) EDIT added my runonceex thingy that runs from the cd, extract to $OEM$ and EDIT the thing because it's useless to ou in it's current state i just have a folder called software on my cd in which i put everything needed to install. also u need to have a CD.txt file on your cd to get it started. i suggest editing it to look for WIN51 or something u already have in there. last but not least: u can test by simply double-clicking the runonceex thing, no need to get fancy good luck _OEM_.rar
  24. all i need: qtlite & realite (thx to titou!), ffdshow => media player classic (+ vlc, plays cell phone videos & just in case) only thing left for me is copy the right plugins to my browser folders and voila... never encountered a file i couldn't play the only problem is i have to start IE shell for some streaming video on crappy sites cheers
  25. is this effect done frame by frame? i suppose there is an easy way to achieve this in flash...
