Same here. The CSS code of youtube-nyan-cat-progress-bar-video-player-theme can't be obtained from userstyles.org in New Moon 28, Serpent 52 or Mypal 68. Only in New Moon 28 (old profile) and Serpent 52, the website https://userstyles.org/styles/95033/youtube-nyan-cat-progress-bar-video-player-theme opens but same black window only containing "{ }" which you posted above. In New Moon 28 (fresh profile) and Mypal 68, the website cannot be opened at all.

Just for clarification, I do not and have not previously used Arkenfox user.js in Mypal 68 (or any other Firefox-based browser, Edge or Chrome which are all definitely off-topic here).

You're welcome. However, I am not the creator of this build. I only gave you a download link to the already compiled installer. But I am glad that it works for you and you could connect to a FastestVPN server. This special version OpenVPN 2.5.4 for Windows XP supports some stronger ciphers which is very important to establish VPN connections in these days.

Why do you want to give up? Pointing to those programmes is very appreciated by me and always welcome here. Any alternatives targeting Windows XP are worth to list in this thread. Even if this strange guy AstroSkipper already knows them.

No. I edited my already existing code for disabling the extensions' signature verification inside the file config.js which is located in Mypal 68's programme directory. This file has to be created by the user at some point and is already part of my package MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z among others.

After manual deleting the leftovers from the removed search engines Bing, Wikipedia and stp (Startpage) in the addonStartup.json.lz4 file, these entries have never come back. So, editing of those files works. You simply have to know what is default (inside the source code) and what was added by yourself.

The OpenVPN 2.5.4 executable is a VPN client programme to connect to special VPN servers. There are many VPN service providers. Only a few offer servers free of charge, most of them offer servers which have to be paid for. The user has to download special OpenVPN configuration files from these VPN service providers which have to be loaded by an OpenVPN client programme such as OpenVPN 2.5.4. These config files can additionally be edited to match the user's needs if you are familiar with the OpenVPN protocol and the used syntax which in turn depends on the installed OpenVPN version. Right! This is a well-known problem that many users have already reported. Apart from that, the TAP-Win32 Adapter driver was officially discontinued for Windows XP years ago. The last version targeting Windows XP was v9.9.2_3. And it becomes particularly tricky when several such adapters have to be installed in the same system. I have already installed OpenVPN 2.5.4, a special, unofficial version for Windows XP, which contains the tap_v9.9.2_20220123_for_XP, a patched version of the TAP-Win32 Adapter v9.9.2. Thus, I try to avoid installing any further TAP-Win32 Adapters.

I think Comodo TrustConnect is indeed a VPN service. Here is a quotation from their website: As you already said, it is a paid service. You will get only a short trial period free of charge. Unfortunately, they are keeping logs. Thus, when using this service, you are not really anonymous. And you have to install the TAP-Win32 Adapter. I would take such compatibility statements with a grain of salt. Someone could test this first. There are many such statements. But very often they are simply wrong in terms of Windows XP. It should be first checked in any case.

All is good. I didn't consider your post off-topic. But such VPN implementions are simply too old and probably won't work in these days. The VPN protocols have changed completely on most servers and are no longer XP-compatible in most cases. Of course, the proof is in the pudding. Someone could test it.

Comodo Internet Security 5.9 is from 2011/2012. So, it is very old. I doubt that these old VPN implementations still work at all today in Windows XP. VPN in Windows XP is a very specialised topic and has become very problematic.

@XPerceniol I personally would urgently recommend to ignore such inofficial threads. This kind of "status update" is anything but informative and helpful. There is only amateurish conjecture and, as one could read very clearly in the past, rather nonsense and more than that was spread in this thread. The posters there are not aware of server problems and are not even able to check a server for availability via different services that exist en masse on the internet. Such threads are not alternatives and are more for disinformation and confusion, the germ of misleading rumours.

Good news for all those who intend to use KeePassXC instead of KeePass. Thanks for the deeper insights! I am very satisfied with KeePass, though. Thus, I will stay with it as long as it works. I personally do not need any new features. But it is good to know there are alternatives.

I have written this article about Zemana Anti-Malware to the best of my knowledge and belief and as informatively as possible. For this purpose, I installed the programme on my second Windows XP partition, tested the basic functions and took screenshots. Now, I am curious about your opinions. Is there anyone here who is using this programme or has used it for some time in the last 6 years? I am interested in meaningful facts and useful information for potential users. PS: I had to write this post a second time as the original one suddenly no longer existed after the maintenance work here on MSFN.

Maybe, you try for example the extension KeePassXC-Browser in version 1.8.5.1 for Firefox 67 and up instead of the more recent ones for Firefox 96 and up. Reducing the minimum Firefox requirements inside webextensions rarely works.

TBH, I personally am completely satisfied with Kee. And KeePass also works well without Kee if you only retrieve previously saved login data. I never tried the combination of KeePassXC-Browser and KeePassNatMsg. But thanks for the insights when trying to fix the code! BTW, I avoid all webextensions which need an additional exe file in Windows due to their restrictions in Chrome/Firefox/Mypal 68. I don't like that at all.
