  1. Yes, tested by gosh himself, and about 4 times by me
  2. Here you go: C:\Windows\System32\kstvtune.ax Version: 5.3.1.902
  3. Welcome to MSFN
  4. The File Attachments box is there both in New Topic and Reply.... Only some certain forums have it enabled. Does this help then?
  5. Yes, you copy the listing of files from the guide into your DOSNET.inf file
  6. Just started playing Max Payne 1 again before I get Max Payne 2
  7. Works fine with the dxsetup.exe from the site.
  8. That's something you'll have to ask to the developers of IPB at www.invisionboard.com
  9. That's something you'll have to ask gosh, he wrote the guide, and I put it up with images. But you may be right, I remember reading somewhere that [ForceCopyDriverCabFiles] is only for files that are contained in drivers.cab
  10. Try again later. Its also common for hotmail accounts to get hacked easily.
  11. strange... Are you using a Slipstreamed SP1 CD? Also, make sure you got the correct updates of 330994 and 828750, there's several for different versions of IE, you'll want the IE6SP1 version. Failing that, you should install them from the GuiRunOnce hotfix batch if you have made one for the MDAC and WMP8 patch.
  12. they're seperated in different folders, so with the method shown by amirali, use: OemPnPDriversPath="drv\VIA\WinXP;drv\VIA\IDEWinXP" and probably the AGP folder, but I'm not entirely sure.
  13. b0r3d, I'm gonna change that page soon - to use a different UXTHEME.DL_ which setup won't halt on, you can get it from here: http://www.MSFN.org/board/index.php?showtopic=9871
  14. Use this instead. (For XP SP1) UXTHEME.DL_
  15. I don't know where Dave got the idea it contains more stuff, its just a switchless installation that OEMs use when they make System Restore CDs for their users. afaik, only dx9ntopk.exe and wmp9mm2.exe are switchless. The seperated WMP9 and MM2 aren't.
  16. yes, only the switchless WMP9MM2.exe bundle.
  17. That seems to be the case. Plus, I can't see where installs.cmd is being called from?

    Explorer

explorer.exe on my system takes up 19MB, and iexplore.exe takes up about 15MB, does that put your mind at rest?
  20. I'm curious to know what the difference is, I've been told it contains a security fix already included in the Update Rollup, but included in this directx package for those who don't install the rollup. More info about this should appear on Wednesday.
  21. hrm, your PROPLUS.msi ran off somewhere.
  22. It's likely Windows Setup tried to install your monitor drivers before the graphics card drivers had a chance to get installed. It has to be done the other way round. You can number your drivers folder like so: ="drivers\000_chipset;drivers\001_gfx;drivers\002_monitor" which will tell windows to install in that order of the number sequence.
  23. tbone587, go through http://www.MSFN.org/unattended/xp/installhotfixes.htm again, because 3 of your questions were already answered in that guide.
  24. Stops the "Do you want to install ISObuster 1.4 Yes | No" dialog box from appearing.
