  1. Are they like single *.ico files? You can use IPhile to change them, but it takes a while! Another faster alternative is to use IconPackager, but only some icon sites use it. Here's iCandy for IconPackager: http://www.foood.net/icons/icons/xp-icandy...%20IP%201.2.zip
  2. Gonna have to unpin some of the inactive threads methinks...
  3. We've disabled it for now, server loads were getting high yesterday causing errors when posting a message, we're still trying to pinpoint the problem, but its been running fine today
  4. I wonder if there is a way this can be accomplished with the Windows HOSTS file? Its been used to redirect sites to localhost, but adding every site in existance would be a major task, but I was wondering if the opposite could be done.
  5. Its spelt as Suppress (2 P's)
  6. XP Home: http://www.MSFN.org/uploads/Guides/winxpsp...DImage_Home.zip XP Professional: http://www.MSFN.org/uploads/Guides/winxpsp...CDImage_Pro.zip
  7. Paste a copy of everything in svcpack.inf, and maybe a screenshot of all your files in the "update" folder if you can.

    Halo

Yeah its a kinda slow game even on my top end machine, but I played it in 1280x1024 (duh). Next time I'll play in 1024 res.
  9. Norton Ghost does it in 2 mins! Make a clean install of Windows XP, get all the settings as you want them and don't install any apps. Ghost an image of that and store it on another hard drive. Whenever you want to restore, start up Ghost again and choose to overwrite the drive with the image, and its done in about 2 mins (depending on HDD speeds and IDE placement)
  10. Illegal copy springs to mind...
  11. Using AutoPartition=0 and Repartition=No, I am able to choose a quick format. Deleting a partition can't be that bad can it? Because its easily recreated with the same exact size and you're formatting all data on it anyway?
  12. Maybe you should look on the Office XP Swedish Homepage for the Administrative Updates (in swedish language) for Office XP
  13. Guys, stay on topic! And Numinous, you need to watch your attitude towards other members around here.
  14. Yup, this is what people download when they want to install the DirectX end-user runtimes to more than one different Windows OS. By the way, DaveXP has uploaded the OPK versions of DirectX 9.0b, along with WMP9 and MovieMaker2. These are smaller, doesn't require a switch, and can be installed from svcpack.inf: DX9NTopk.ace mm2.ace So grab em while you can (thanks Dave!) edit: WMP9 link seems to be down. Extract with WinRAR or WinACE.
  15. That's well nice, but the question is, what motherboard does it support? (Baby AT, Micro ATX?)
  16. r4v3n, I believe applying MDAC 8 will require the same syntax as 2.7 SP1 if I remember correctly (has to be extracted). Plus, its a lot bigger to carry onto the CD.
  17. It does that automatically. If its an empty file, then there were no errors
  18. A happy birthday to our favourite server admin! And a happy birthday to our lurkers as well
  19. He's obviously spamming

    Hi

    Welcome to MSFN Skyeman!
  21. Have you looked on the frontpage recently?
  22. Erm dude, why are you posting this in General Discussion, Technology News and Websites and Boards? Doesn't this belong to the Networks forum, and as one post only?
  23. [GuiRunOnce] Command0=%systemdrive%\install.cmd The above is asking for install.cmd in the C:\ drive, which would be C:\install.cmd If you have install.cmd in... lets say your CD has this: E:\$OEM$\$1\install\install.cmd then the correct path would be: [GuiRunOnce] %systemdrive%\install\install.cmd
  24. Strange, I don't have DK8PE.msi or any MSI for that matter. Its a single setup.exe file with a readme.txt, which /s /v/qn works on. (This is Diskeeper Professional 8.0.459 btw)
  25. I tried /qn but it wasn't silent at all. /s /v/qn as documented on the Unattended XP CD site still applies for Diskeeper 8
