  1. According to this thread http://board.MSFN.org/index.php?showtopic=9378 you'll need to change to Mode 1 in the Roxio burning options
  2. hehe nice, if we can be able to change the font too then we could create a matrix style batch script
  3. Willpantin - There won't be any need to touch svcpack.in_ at all, you'll notice that running file.bat moved this file to the backup folder, which you can safely delete. So there's only svcpack.inf in the i386 directory. RaveRod - The Update rollup covers 824146 (MS03-039) already, so its been removed from the main list
  4. Yeah, quite annoyed at the 4 extra updates that came out at the same time as the Update Rollup. The hotfix list is big again despite removing the ones that the Update rollup covers. But it can be a good thing too, MS are taking action to secure their products now and are trying to eliminate any buffer overflows.
  5. Moved to Networks, Internet and Security
  6. yes you'll need to use gosh's method, the update rollup covers about 20 hotfixes so its quickly installed without the long waits between each hotfix being installed.
  7. willpantin - Its on the frontpage! Dreadnort, will update that svcpack hotfix install page tomorrow, haven't got the time to do it right now. Numinous, the Slipstream guide doesn't use the /x switch. Using it prevents update.exe and spcustom.dll being extracted to SP2's update folder, but you can always copy them from the extracted "Common" folder. I also noticed ntoskrnl.exe was missing from the guide gosh posted 2 weeks back, but there's apparently no side effects and ntoskrnl.exe is at its latest version when checked. Note: When I change the svcpack hotfix guide tomorrow, you will have to change all references of "svcpack" to "update" instead. This means you need to rename the svcpack folder to 'update', as well as CatalogSubDir="I386\update" in svcpack.inf and [OptionalSrcDirs] update in DOSNET.inf This is because the update rollup slipstream doesn't work with a folder name of 'svcpack'.
  8. There's an express Install? Edit: So there is... but you should only slipstream with the full package, double check that you have done everything explained in the slipstream guide.
  9. Try adding the '.exe' to shutdown, so it appears as 'shutdown.exe'. I've often had problems where my batch script would loop when shutdown didn't have an .exe suffixed to it.

    Cd Burner

Start > Run > Services.msc Scroll down until you find IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service, go into its Properties and Disable it. This does speed up Nero loading times actually
  11. Its working with Daemon Tools 3.41 First extract daemon341.exe with WinRAR or any compatible extractor, then run a /qn or /qb switch on the extracted daemon.msi file.

    Hi

    Welcome to MSFN Stewart!
  13. Working on a guide for that right now.
  14. Put all those files into a folder called nvidia_nic, and put this at c:\xpcd\$oem$\$1\drivers\nvidia_nic\ add these lines to your winnt.sif file under [unattended]: OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\other_driver;Drivers\nvidia_nic;Drivers\other_driver" DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore Make sure OemPreinstall=Yes is set as Yes
  15. don't use that, it causes file copy errors in text-mode setup... but since you use a method that skips that part completely then it probably doesn't matter? Here's the syntax I use, it doesn't force all files/folders to go into UPPERCASE: CDIMAGE.EXE -lWXPFPP_EN -t12/31/2002,12:00:00 -h -j1 -m -bxpboot.img C:\XPCD C:\WXPFPP_EN.ISO
  16. It'll be a very very big FAQ if one was ever created, there's so many different combinations to accomplish something unattended, so it'll be kind of difficult. I just keep the simple stuff on site, but it is in desperate need of an update which I should get around to!
  17. Use the extracted one, 43.6 KB
  18. I'm not one for DIY, plus I'm a bit of a lazy bum
  19. spam the link un4given1, we don't mind!
  20. Right, I've got my old 166 pentium box out and decided to run an internet routing distro called IPCop on it. It's a very big heavy desktop case, (due to the crappy inbuilt speakers) but the motherboard inside is smaller than the ATX motherboards I've seen today, its an AOpen AP5T Baby AT Mobo, so I'm wondering if there's any small cases (or Shuttle-style cases) that will support the Baby AT mobo, along with a NIC, 2GB HDD and a CDROM. I won't need a floppy drive since the mobo supports booting from the CD.
  21. ungh, I'm so blind! The syntax used on that page is wrong. Pulpfiction, the syntax you posted is correct, except it should be %systemdrive% This might also work if Unattended.MST is in the same location where setup.exe is, but needs to be tested first: start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\OfficeXP\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb-
  22. I'll work on it right away, should be compatible for Klipfolio, Trillian, and MSFN Tab Portal. Not sure about Winbar because a file has to be created.
  23. Are you referring to a "10 latest forum topics" to be added in the MSFN Tab Portal for MSN Messenger 6?
  24. Might go and order this trial, sounds good by what you've said
