  1. I do not know about a test, but I had a similar problem a while back, the issue with me was that somehow something got unchecked. So I had to go to my Display Properties, and then the Settings tab and where it shows you the two monitors, right click on the second monitor and check Attached. That worked for me, I do not know if you have already tried this but you never know. Hope this helps.
  2. Well if he is like me I need the MS one because the sun one will not work with our propietary software, so you can find it HERE and once you install it you can run critical updates and it will find any updates available of it if needed. Hope this helps you.
  3. Well that all depends on so much, How much mail will they be getting, how many hits will they be getting on the web site, how much data are they going to be saving on the server. I like to set up servers with two processors. In this case I would get a server with at least 2GB Ram if not more. Running windows 2003 server, Exchange 2003, with Raid 5 storage of at least 200GB and a good tape backup solution.
  4. maybe you can try a program like Schedule Wizard for example.
  5. Well if it is a fresh install, maybe you could retry the install. Also you could try a program like Partion Magic to see the other partition. What type of partition was it, you did not have it hidden or something did you. Anyway, I use partiontion magic for stuff like that If I do not want to format.
  6. I had something like t his happen before, worked on it for a bit and the only thing I could think of to fix it was to format and reinstall.
  7. not sure if this would work, but it might be a work around, try saving the fax first and then send the file using your email program instead of trying to send it through winfax. Some programs do not send work a SH*T, they mess up the attachment, so I always use my email program myself and get better results that way.
  8. you could try to take ownership of the folder with the current machine it is on, but if you had encrypted files in there you may loose them. Right click on the folder and do Properties and go to the security tab.
  9. Well if it is linux, I think most of it is data and probably can not be compressed any smaller so you would have to buy one of those DVD9 blank discs, but if it were like a movie or something there is software out there that lets you shrink the movie to a smaller size but you would loose some quality and features, but be aware that those movies are probably copy right protected.
  10. I think I would burn the image to a dvd too, because if you hard drive fails, even the hidden partion will be gone and unable to restore your stuff, but if you had it on a dvd as an image, you could install a new drive, restore the image off the dvd to the new hard drive and then you would be done. just my 2 cents worth.
  11. PDF Factory and Abbyy PDF Transform
  12. do you need the password to start windows up or do you need to make changes to the bios. Anyway, you could just try flashing the bios with the latest bios update for your notebook and in most cases that resets the bios
  13. even though you do not have a domain, the windowx xp sp2 workgroup computers have the ability to see if there is already a computer on the network with that name. Did you image these computers and then change the name. Check all computers to see if there is one that is the same. Also if you imaged them you need to change not only the name but the SID too, you can use a program like ghstwalk.exe to boot with and then change the name and the SID. PM me if you need help.
  14. I do not think even if you got them they would work, I think you are barking down the wrong tree.
  15. Check under Performance settings in my computer properties. Right Click My Computer, then click on Properties Go to the Advance Tab Under Performance click on Settings In the Visual Effects Tab click on the Adjust for best appearance and click ok. That may let you apply the theme back.
  16. Maybe you can disable sync on the ones that do not show the icon and information, and then restart the computer and then re-enable the sync option and restart the computer and see it that gives you the information you are looking for.
  17. it is probably because he is accessing a folder on your server and he does not have a user account with permissions to access that folder. It is the built in security in windows that does that. He is not a member of your domain. Now on his computer, he has a share and he did not password protect it so anyone could access his folder.
  18. If you are getting your email from a domain, for example MS Exchange, Go into your email account and check in the Microsoft Exchange Server account and make sure that you do not have a check mark on Use Cached Exchange Mode.
  19. Not really sure what is causing your issue of disconnecting, could be your modem really, A BIG BUT though, you should be using your 1 MBps connection as your primary service and the modem as your alternate. The 1 MBps is so much faster for your downloading needs, and more than likely it will not disconnect you. The dialup connnection can only reach at best a speed of only 56Kbps. Really slow for downloading. Just my 2 cents worth.
  20. If you really own it and paid for it MS would be happy to help you re-activate without any hasseles.
  21. what kind of file, and maybe you could try passware utility
  22. If your copy is Legit, and it was activatied for that pc, then call Microsoft, and there is no charge for the phone, it is a toll free number. We do not discuss anything on this forum on cracking or bypassing activation to copyrighted software.
  23. Ok I have acquired a whole bunch of winks that I can add to my msn7. My question is, is there any way that I can preview any of these *.MCO files before I import them to my msn messenger so that I do not have to delete them later if I do not like them. In short I am looking for a wink previewer or an MCO file previewer if that makes any sence.
